Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) returned to profit in 2021 and it is paying a final dividend of 22p a share, having already paid 37p a share for the financial year. Net assets are 1315p a share. Slater Investments has a 7.05% stake.
S-Ventures (SVEN) is acquiring Market Rocket Ltd, which is a digital agency that helps brand owners to sell their products, for an initial £2.25m. There could be further shares issued if performance targets are met. In the year to March 2021, revenues were £500,000 and this year they will be much higher. This is a profitable business.
British Honey Company (BHC) has raised £540,000 after expenses at 80p each. This cash will finance product development, costs related to reducing expenses and fund growth. Mark Jones has been permanently appointed as chief executive. The company is changing its name to Union Distillers.
Vulcan Industries (VULC) is acquiring Aftech, a sheet metal fabrication company, for £1.55m in shares issued at 1.257p a share, plus 24.7 million warrants exercisable at 3p a share. Services provided include laser cutting, bending and forming and the acquired business fits well with existing subsidiaries. In the year to November 2021, Aftech generated revenues of £1.18m and EBITDA of £266,000 and it has debt of £155,000.
AIM-quoted Asimilar (ASLR) plans to join the access segment of Aquis on 4 April. The technology investment company focuses on areas including big data, machine learning and Internet of Things. The corporate adviser is Oberon Capital. Chris Akers has a 6.88% stake and Nigel Wray a 9.43% shareholding. Net assets were £41.5m at the end of September 2021.
VVV Resources (VVV) has signed a conditional agreement to acquire a company that owns the Mitterberg copper project in Austria and a 49% stake in the Shangri La polymetallic project in Western Australia, which takes VVV’s share to 100%.
EPE Special Opportunities (ESO) increased its NAV from 437.6p a share to 455.7p a share in the 12 months to January 2022. However, the Luceco share price has fallen back since then. The Luceco stake was reduced to 22.1% last year. Cash was £27.6m at the end of January.
Capital for Companies (CFCP) had cash balances of £4.19m at the end of February 2022. Net assets were 68.4p a share, following the payment of 1.5p a share dividend on 3 March.
Jason Brewer has joined the board of All Star Minerals (ASMO) and been appointed as chief executive. The acquisition focus has switched to near-term production and revenue generating mining assets.
AQRU (AQRU) has entered a partnership with institutional lending platform owner Maple Finance, which will offer AQRU customers enhanced yields in decentralised finance. Yields could be up to 15%. The offering will be integrated into the AQRU mobile and web-based platform.
Clean Invest Africa (CIA) has obtained a new strategic investor and there could be more to come. Ramin Salsali has invested £302,276 at 0.5p a share to take a 4.67% stake. He believes that the CoalTech technology can help to solve the problem of 33 billion tonnes of toxic coal fines. The technology can also pelletise other materials. Several testing phase projects are at an advanced stage.

Cyber security software supplier Kape Technologies (KAPE) reported 2021 figures in line with its trading statement with pre-tax profit of $75.2m. This was without any significant contribution from the ExpressVPN acquisition, which was made at the end of the year. Pre-tax profit could more than double to in excess of $150m this year.
Geospatial software provider IQGeo (IQG) beat expectations for 2021 with a much lower loss of £2.7m. Annualised recurring revenues were £8.2m. This year the company should move towards breakeven.
Restaurant operator Tasty (TAST) bounced back into profit last year. In the 52 weeks to 26 December 2021, revenues improved from £24.2m to £34.9m. There was £11m in the bank at the end of 2021 and there are £1.25m of borrowings to offset against this. Even if deferred payments are taken into account, then underlying net cash is still £6.8m. Net assets are £1.9m.
Peel Hunt has upgraded its 2022 forecast for promotional goods platform operator The Pebble Group (PEBB) following the recent 2021 figures. Even so, pre-tax profit is forecast to dip from £10.2m to £9.9m.
Leather processor Pittards (PTD) returned to profit in 2021, but cost increases mean that WH Ireland has reduced its 2022 pre-tax profit forecast. Pre-tax profit is expected to be flat at £500,000. Net assets are 101.9p a share.
AI-enabled wound imaging technology developer Spectral MD (SMD) has made excellent progress since floating last year. Studies of the DeepView system have been positive. The technology enables earlier intervention to help wounds heal quicker than they would have done. A validation study for patients with diabetic foot ulcers is planned and could lead to an application for FDA clearance by the end of the year.
Judges Scientific (JDG) increased pre-tax profit from £13.7m to £18.1m in 2021. Revenues recovered in all geographical regions. The order intake in the first eleven weeks of this year is slightly ahead of the 2021 figure. Net cash is £1.4m and cash generated from operations will mean that the cash pile will build up ahead of any acquisitions.

LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LSE: LUCE) reported an increase in 2021 underlying pre-tax profit from £28.7m to £37.4m on revenues increasing from £176.2m to £228.2m. The total dividend was raised from 6.2p a share to 8.1p a share and it is more than twice covered by earnings. Luceco has moved into the electric vehicle charging market with the purchase of residential EV charge point supplier Sync EV for £10m – it already had a 20% stake, so the latest outflow is £8m. Annual revenues are £4m.
LeakBot reversed into Spinnaker Acquisitions to form Ondo Insurtech (ONDO). The total cost is £9.8m made up of cash of £1.6m, loan notes of £6.4m and 15 million shares issued at 12p each, including 1.36 million shares issued to Ondo Insurtech chief executive Craig Foster. The LeakBot device uses internet of things technology to identify leaks and stop them before they become more substantial. The core client base is home insurers, which can save money on claims. The share price started at 10.5p and fell to 9p by the end of the week.
RC365 Holding (RCGH) was set up to acquire Hong Kong-focused Regal Crown UK, which has developed payment gateway technology and provides other IT services. The holding company raised £2.02m at 6.2p a share, although £800,000 went on float expenses. The shares ended the week at 7p.
Beacon Rise Holdings (BRS) is the latest standard list shell, and it is highly illiquid with most of the shares owned by nine shareholders. On Sharepad.co.uk there are no trades reported, and the bid/offer spread is 100p/400p. That suggest a mid-price of 250p or a notional 150% gain – although the bid price is equal to the subscription price. Pro forma net assets equal the cash of £744,000.

Good Energy (GOOD) has agreed the sale of its generating assets ahead of the 11 February general meeting called by Ecotricity where it wanted shareholders to vote on any disposal. The initial payment by Bluefield Solar Income Fund is £16.4m, less a distribution of £700,000 since the lockbox date. Deferred consideration of up to £8.1m based on the performance of the assets. The book value was £17.7m. This will leave Good Energy substantially debt free with cash in the bank. This will enable further investment in Zap-Map and other transport and decentralised energy businesses.
Broker Arden has initiated research on CBD products and testing company Goodbody Health (GDBY) and set a 10p a share target price. The growth is coming from testing services and Goodbody Health is expected to move into profit this year. Currently 94% of testing revenues relate to Covid, but other blood tests are set to be in the majority by 2023.
Brewer Adnams (ADB) has decided to announce an interim dividend having not paid a dividend for more than two years. The A shares will receive 39p a share and B shares 156p a share. The ex-dividend date is 27 January.
Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) has signed a letter of intent with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which will review the waste plastic to hydrogen technologies.
Cross border e-commerce technology provider Samarkand Group (SMK) has agreed a three-year contract extension with TEMPLESPA.
Cadence Minerals (KDNC) says that investee company European Metals Holdings has published an update to its 2019 pre-feasibility study for the 49%-owned Cinovec lithium mine in the Czech Republic. The post-tax NPV8 has increased to $3.09bn, although the upfront cost has also increased to $644m.
Recent new admission Kasei Holdings (KASH) has made $3.65m of cryptocurrency investments since joining Aquis. It has also made a $25,000 initial investment in Game-fi ecosystem company ZONE. Kasei had £3.7m available for investment.
Investment company Gledhow Investments (GDH) had cash of £525,000 at the end of September 2021, having raised £850,000 in a placing during the year. Net assets increased from £1.3m to £2.78m.
IamFire (FIRE) reduced its interim loss from £162,000 to £86,000. Since the half year end, IamFire has raised a further £4.75m.
NQ Minerals remains in administration and has been withdrawn from Aquis.

Pawnbroker and foreign currency exchange services company Ramsdens (RFX) reported a £600,000 pre-tax profit on revenues of £40.7m in the year to September 2021. Jewellery sales were strong both online and in stores. The foreign exchange division was hit by the lack of travel. This year the foreign exchange business should recover although it is difficult to assess by how much. Even so, there should be a jump in profit this year as Covid restrictions are removed.
Interim figures from small company finance provider Time Finance (TIME) reported flat interim revenues of £11.8m and pre-tax profit of £1.2m. Full year profit could improve from £2m to £2.9m, although earnings per share could be flat, but a much bigger jump is expected next year. NAV remains above the market capitalisation and there is a conservative provisioning policy.
Pressure Technologies (PRES) reported flat full year revenues, but the underlying loss was reduced. A good performance from the Chesterfield Special Cylinders, helped by defence orders, was offset by weak oil and gas demand for precision machined components. Net debt was £4.9m. There should be a return to profit this year. Demand for cylinders for hydrogen refuelling is building up and should become significant over the next few years. Oil and gas demand is also improving.
Ilika (IKA) expects to start to build up production at its new Stereax battery plant in Chandler’s Ford by the beginning of the next financial year. The production lines have been installed and the process and product qualification is underway. Revenues were £195,000 in the six months to October 2021. These came from grants relating to the Goliath technology. The Goliath battery technology is at an early stage and is suitable for uses where larger batteries are required, such as electric vehicles and consumer appliances. There will be minimal group revenues in the second half with the growth coming in 2022-23. Cash outflows will continue but there will still be cash going into 2024.
Kromek (KMK) had a tough first half due to component supply problems, but the imaging and detection technology company expects to have a much stronger second half. Interim revenue edged up to £4.71m, while full year revenues are expected to be £15m. There is 96% visibility based on current second half orders. Kromek continues to be loss-making, but it is still expected to have net cash at the end of April 2022. That is despite increasing component stocks. Kromek has won a seven-year imaging contract worth $17m.
Credit hire and legal services firm Anexo (ANX) says that 2021 revenues and profit have exceeded expectations. There were 2,300 credit hire vehicles on the road at the end of 2021. Progressive has upgraded its underlying pre-tax profit forecast from £20m to £24.5m.
Boku (BOKU) has sold its identity division to Twilio for up to $32.3m. This will stop those losses and help group profit to increase. In 2021, the payments division increased its revenues by one-fifth to $61.9m, while EBITDA rose by a similar proportion to $22.9m. Stripping out the identity division loss means that the 2022 pre-tax profit has been upgraded from $15.3m to $16.8m.
Growth is accelerating at domain name and online marketing services provider CentralNic (CNIC). The 2021 full year growth in revenues of 37%, was better than expected and higher than the 29% growth in the first nine months of 2021.

LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) says that 2021 operating profit will be £39m as expected. There was strong growth last year, but this year will have tougher comparatives. Price rises have offset cost inflation but 2022 may be second half weighted in performance terms.
Tibergest is making a mandatory offer for Photo-Me International (PHTM) after acquiring 7.7% and taking its stake to 36.5%. It has to offer the 75p a share it paid for the latest stake. Tibergest is associated with Photo-Me chief executive Serge Crasnianski. There are no plans to cancel the listing.
CYBA (CYBA) is still in talks concerning the acquisition of PolySwarm, which has issued the Nectar (NCT) cryptocurrency token. The NCT price has increased to 17.34 cents and PolySwarm owns 339 million NCT.
Rockpool Acquisitions (ROC) has terminated the acquisition of Greenview Gas. Rockpool should get £1.25m back from Greenview.
GSTechnologies (GST) has acquired a Lithuanian crypto exchange licence through the acquisition of UAB Glindala. Change of control has to be approved. There are plans to open a crypto exchange in the second quarter of 2022.
Executive chairman John Rigg has bought more shares in IT services company Triad (TRD). He acquired 35,000 shares at 164.3p each and 50,000 shares at 133.5p. He owns 27.8% of Triad.
Toople (TOOP) has opened a second contract centre, which is supported by BT. The south Cheshire centre is up and running and will focus on new small business customers gained through BT. The company’s other contact centre is in South Africa.
Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies (OCTP) had cash of £12m at the end of November 2021. Phase I clinical trials for OCT461201 for the treatment of neuropathic and visceral pain could commence in the first quarter of 2023.

Lush co-founder Andrew Gerrie plans to float a new shell called Silverwood Brands on the Aquis Stock Exchange. The strategy is to acquire and develop consumer brands and pay with shares and cash. Hotel Chocolat (HOTC) founder Angus Thirlwell is an adviser. Silverwood Brands was formed in August. There are currently 100 shares, which were issued at par value of 1p. A pre-IPO subscription of £1m recently closed.
Boanerges (BNRG) has agreed to acquire the business and assets of digital ecommerce company WeShop, where AIM-quoted Brandshield Systems (BRSD), Vela Technologies (VELA), Primorus Investments (PRIM) and IamFire (FIRE) are shareholders. The payment will be 33.33 million shares at 75p each, compared with a market price of 77p, following a May flotation at 20p a share. Boanerges intends to leave Aquis and join the JP Jenkins matched bargain facility. Boanerges is offering to acquire any shares bought since the Aquis flotation at 75p each. Boanerges believes it has the cash it requires to develop the WeShop business, and it may seek a listing in the future.
Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) says customer deposits have increased by 19% to £2.8bn so far this year, while loans have risen by one-quarter to £1.97bn. Assets under management are 14% higher at £1.3bn.
Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) has sold its investment in Office for Public Management for £469,000, having invested £250,000.
Dispersion Holdings (DEFI) has acquired Accru Finance for £8.75m in the form of 250 million shares. The vendors will own 29% of Dispersion and the founders Philip Blows and Digby Try will join the Dispersion board. The former will become chief executive. Accru is developing cryptocurrency trading platform, which is yet to get FCA approval.
Altona Rare Earths (ANR) has agreed to acquire a 51% interest in the Chambe rare earths project in Malawi and this new deal is likely to delay the move to the standard list. An initial payment of one million shares will be held in escrow until the exploration licence is transferred to a new company in which Altona can increase its interest to 70%.
Vulcan Industries (VULC) reported revenues of £5.23m in the year to March 2021. There was a loss of £3.42m. Net debt is £3.4m.
There was a £891,000 cash outflow at Semper Fortis Esports (SEMP) in the six months to July 2021. There is still £1.77m in the bank.
AIM
Bens Creek Group (BEN) has acquired coking coal mining assets in West Virginia, and it believes it can restart production before the end of 2021. The estimated coal resources are 17.2 million in-place tons with proven and probable reserves of 2.34 million tons. Bens Creek raised £5.8m, after expenses, at 10p a share when it joined AIM. Bens Creek announced an offtake agreement for washed Hi-Vol-B metallurgical coal with Integrity Coal Sales, which has agreed to take 22,000 US short ton of coal each month for a 12-month period. This deal starts in January and covers 50% of expected production volumes. The current market price is $277/short ton and the price paid will depend on the market price at the time. This deal sparked an uptick in the share price, which reached 13.25p by the end of the week.
Devon-based Tungsten West (TUN) is developing the Hemerdon tungsten and tine mine near Plymouth and it joined AIM during the week. The share price ended the week at 63p, up from the 60p at which £39m was raised before expenses. Hemerdon was previously owned by Wolf Minerals, which went into administration, and acquired by Tungsten West two years ago. There had previously been more than £170m invested in the mine. There is an estimated mineral resource of 325Mt at 0.12% tungsten. A bankable feasibility study was completed in March.
Disinfection products supplier Tristel (TSTL) reported lower revenues and profit but that was down to stockpiling in the comparative period. Revenues were 2% lower at £31m, while pre-tax profit fell by one-quarter to £5.4m, which is similar to the 2018-19 level. Profit growth should recommence this year, but it will take time to beat the 2019- 20 figure. Tristel is shedding non-core products, which will reduce costs. Progress continues with US product approvals.
ASX-listed Future Metals (FME) did not raise any cash when it gained a secondary quotation on AIM. The share price ended the first day of trading at 12.25p and then fell to 10.5p. The company was previously quoted on AIM as Red Emperor Resources and has returned following the acquisition of 100% of the Panton PGM project in Western Australia. There is definitely a resource. A bankable feasibility study was completed by previous owners in September 2003, and it was reviewed in 2011. There is a JORC mineral resource of 14.3Mt at 5.2g/t PGM and 2.4m ounces of gold. There is also nickel, cobalt and copper mineralisation.
Solid State (SOLI) has an order book at record levels. The order book has increased by 48% to £61.5m with orders stretching further ahead than in the past. Interim pre-tax profit is estimated to have risen from £2.6m to £3.3m. Operating margins benefited from a change in product mix.
Internet domain name registry and services provider CentralNic (CNIC) is continuing to perform ahead of expectations. Organic growth was 29% in first nine months of this year. CentralNic expects full year EBITDA of at least $32m, up from $22.1m in 2020.

LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) is trading in line with expectations of achieving a full year underlying operating profit of at least £39m. Revenues are 36% higher than the 2020 figure. Gross margins are slightly lower due to cost pressures.

Good Energy (GOOD) has followed the lapsed Ecotricity bid with a nine-month trading statement saying that the renewable energy supplier is on course to meet full year expectations. Good Energy is more than 90% hedged for the next 12 months, so there is limited exposure to the current price volatility. Price rises have been implemented. The 0.75p a share interim dividend is payable on 29 November and the ex-dividend date is 21 October. Finance director Rupert Sanderson has sold 14,800 shares at 335p each, while chief executive Nigel Pocklington bought 7,500 shares at 351.666p each.
Walls and Future REIT (WAFR) is engaging with new investors so that there are buyers for the 10% of the share capital where investors are not long-term holders. This is holding back the share price and causing the high discount to NAV, according to management. The company has completed the design of its autism friendly housing.
CBD products supplier Voyager Life (VOY) generated revenues of £65,000 from incorporation to the end of September 2021. Monthly overheads are less than £50,000. There is £1.8m in the bank. New stores are opening in Edinburgh and Dundee.
Yooma Wellness Inc (YOOM) has acquired CBD products manufacturer N8 Essentials for 1.17 million shares issued at 67.3 cents a share. N8 has a 14,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Kansas. This will enable more group production to be brought in house.
Sativa Wellness (SWEL) has launched an online telemedicine service. This enables patients to follow up tests with a virtual medical consultation.
KR1 (KR1) is participating in the Kintsugi crowdloan and Kusama (KSM) parachain auction. KR1 contributed 5,000 KSM to the crowdloan.
Altona Natural Resources (ANR) has started drilling at the Monte Muambe project in Mozambique. This will improve the understanding of the geological model and test four newly identified targets.
The requisition for a general meeting at British Honey (BHC) has been withdrawn. Richard Day has been reappointed chairman and Mark Gamble as an executive director. Alex Maurice has stepped down from the board but continues to be employed by the company.
Hydro Hotel Eastbourne (HYDP) non-exec director CP Freeman has bought 800 shares at 884p each. David Evans has a 7.61% stake in Oberon Investments (OBE).
The SFO has ended its investigation into people associated with Watchstone Group (WTG) when it was known as Quindell.
AIM
Light Science Technologies (LST) is a contract electronics manufacturer and a developer of controlled environment agriculture technology, which joined AIM on 15 October. The agricultural technology being developed helps farmers to maximise crop productivity and monitor the growing environment. The company’s LED lighting range is called nurturGrow Luminaire and the nurturGROW sensor is being developed. There was £5m raised at 10p a share and the price ended the first day at 11.5p. The cash raised in the flotation will be used to expand facilities and increase marketing.
Floorcoverings manufacturer Victoria (VCP) has achieved record interim earnings. The UK has been a strong market, but Australia has been tougher. The full year outcome is likely to be ahead of expectations. Peel Hunt has upgraded its full year pre-tax profit forecast from £58.3m to £65m.
Branded furnishings and wallcoverings supplier Sanderson Design Group (SDG) improved interim pre-tax profit by 22% to £6m on a 48% increase in revenues. North American and UK sales were strong, and the manufacturing business bounced back. Management plans to generate more income from the archive of past patterns and designs. Net cash is £15.4m. Sanderson is on course to achieve an increase in full year pre-tax profit from £7.1m to £10.9m.
Eqtec (EQT) plans to acquire a 5MW project in Drama, Greece, which will generate energy from forestry waste. Financial close should be achieved for the project in the third quarter of 2022. There is also an additional £2.1m of investment in the North Fork project in California, which increases the stake from 10% to 49%. The 2MW biomass to energy project has been delayed due to fires and Covid. A $4.5m convertible loan facility has been provided to the development.
CyanConnode (CYAN) says interim revenues were £4.1m and it is well on the way to £9.4m of revenues for the full year. The narrowband radio frequency networks company continues to lose money, but cash levels should improve.
Motor dealer Vertu Motors (VTU) recorded record first half results despite supply problems for new vehicles. Used car prices have been rising because of the shortage of new vehicles. In the six months to August 2021, revenues increased from £1.2bn to £1.92bn. Underlying pre-tax profit soared from £4.7m to £51.8m, which is more than treble the first half of 2019-20. Net cash is £57.3m. The interim dividend has been re-established at 0.65p a share. The net tangible asset value is 61.5p a share.
High street sales recovered at fishing tackle retailer Angling Direct (ANG) despite being closed in the first ten weeks of the first half and online sales continued to grow. In the six months to July 2021, revenues improved from £32.1m to £38.4m with high street sales increasing by two-fifths. Online sales were 2% ahead. Pre-tax profit jumped from £1.36m to £3.72m, which includes government lockdown support. Full year pre-tax profit is expected to increase from £2.6m to £3.5m.
Driving safety technology developer Seeing Machines (SEE) has signed a framework agreement with Shell Global Solutions for its Guardian driver distraction and fatigue technology. Deployments should start later this year. Shell has 20,000 vehicles, compared with the total number of 31,771 vehicles using Guardian technology. Seeing Machines has also set up an EU sales team with a headquarters in Amsterdam.
Gresham House Strategic (GHS) has decided to change its investment manager from Gresham House Asset Management to Harwood Capital, where its previous investment manager Richard Staveley moved earlier this year, and Gresham House (GHE) has requisitioned a general meeting in order to have the company’s cash distributed to shareholders and the portfolio of investments liquidated over a 24-month period. Gresham House has a 23.3% stake in Gresham House Strategic and claims the backing of 40% of the share capital. The opposition to the move owns 30% of the company. Harwood intends to invest in the company, and it will generate lower fees, which will save the company £270,000.
Iodine company Iofina (IOF) produced 142.7 MT of crystalline iodine in the third quarter of 2021 and that underpins full year forecasts. Iodine prices continue to rise and recently hit $40/kg.

LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) has acquired DW Windsor, an exterior lighting business, for £16.9m in cash. In the year to September 2021, operating profit was £1.9m.
Highway Capital (HWC) has finally found a suitable reverse takeover target, although there is no firm agreement. There will be a fundraising alongside the purchase of esports adviser and investor Guinevere Capital Esports & Entertainment. No purchase price has been announced
Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies (OCTP) has acquired medical assets from Canopy Growth Corporation, which provides access to cannabinoid derivatives and will help the company to develop additional drug projects. The lead compound OCT461201, which is a potential neuropathic pain treatment, is progressing towards clinical trials in the third quarter of 2022.

Good Energy (LON: GOOD) has rejected the bid from rival renewable energy supplier Ecotricity. It believes that the indicative offer of 340p a share in cash is too low even though it is a premium to the previous market price. Management believes that it has a clear strategy for the company. The focus is energy as a service and mobility as a service, particularly through Zap Map. A new tariff, called Green Driver, has been launched offering a choice of off-peak electric vehicle charging periods. The potential bid values Good Energy at nearly £57m. SulNOx Group (SNOX) has raised £2.59m at 30p a share. The cash will be used to build up the sales capability and finance the hiring of additional management and staff. There will also be further investment in R&D. There are 58 ongoing trials for its emission reduction product.
Hydro Hotel Eastbourne (HYDP) generated interim revenues of £186,000, but it lost £383,000. The hotel has been trading for a limited time in the six months to April 2021. Refurbishment of bathrooms was undertaken during the period. The hotel will fully re-open on 19 July.
Tectonic Gold (TTAU) has reached an agreement with White Prospecting to set up a joint venture to mine gold at the Mount Cassidy project. Tectonic will get a 7.5% gross production royalty. This deal will enable Tectonic to concentrate on Specimen Hill.
BWA Group (BWAP) reports positive sampling results at the 90%-owned Dehane rutile sands project. It is still early days, but the elevated levels of rare earths is a good sign.
Evrima (EVA) had £164,000 in the bank at the end of 2020, while the NAV was £461,000.
Chapel Down Group (CDGP) raised £6.88m at 59.5p a share, which includes £5.45m raised via crowdfunding. NQ Minerals (NQMI) has raised £35,000 at 7p a share. All Star Minerals (ASMO) has raised £257,000 at 0.02p a share and converted £54,000 of liabilities into shares. Ananda Developments (ANA) has raised £350,000 from an issue of convertible loan notes, with a conversion price of 1p a share, and a further £200,000 is committed by investors.
AIM
Building materials sector consolidator SigmaRoc (LSRC) acquiring Finland-based limestone supplier Nordkalk acquired for £402m, including debt. SigmaRoc has raised £260m in a placing at 85p a share, while a retail offer raised £1.6m. A new bank facility will help to fund the deal and £43m of shares will be issued to Rettig Group.
Energy efficiency as a service provider eEnergy Group (EAAS) has trebled full year estimated revenues to £13.5m. Organic growth was 75% and there was a small pre-tax profit. The smart metering service has been rebranded as MyZeRO and the first combined LightAsAService and smart metering contract has been won. Short-term profit growth is being sacrificed for longer-term growth.
Solid State (SOLI) marginally beat previously upgraded expectations for its figures for the year to March 2021. Revenues dipped slightly to £66.3m, but underlying pre-tax profit was 15% ahead at £5.4m following a reduction in overheads. The total dividend was 16p a share. Computing and communications products did well, but there was a decline in power products revenues. Acquisitions made a small contribution.
Glantus (GLAN) has made its first acquisition since joining AIM, but the software company still remains at a discount to its placing price. The $9.3m acquisition of Technology Insight Corporation led to an earnings up grade for 2022 from 6.4 cents a share to 7.1 cents a share.
Iodine producer Iofina (IOF) says iodine prices are back to pre-pandemic levels at $35-$37/kg. First half production is in line with guidance at 249.4Mt.
Kromek (KMK) had a better second half of the year to April 2021. Manufacturing had been closed in the first half and revenues improved. Full year revenues still fell from £13.1m to £10.4m. There is already 75% visibility over this year’s forecast revenues of £15m. Biodetection equipment for Covid-19 and other airborne viruses will provide a new market for the company. The medical imaging market is recovering.
ULS Technology (ULS) continues to invest in its DigitalMove platform, and it has net cash of £24m to complete its development. More services will be offered on the platform. Conveyancing completions fell last year and revenues declined 18% to £16.9m.
Zoo Digital (ZOO) moved into profit in the year to March 2021. A pre-tax profit of $900,000 was made on revenues of $39.5m with further improvements in profit expected in the next two years. Demand is increasing from subtitling and dubbing services for TV and film back catalogues and Zoo is also adding additional services. Zoo is extending its geographic reach in line with demand from customers.
Chains and transmissions manufacturer Renold (RNO) reported a 13% dip in revenues last year, but underlying pre-tax profit improved by one-fifth to £5.9m – that was due to £2.4m of restructuring costs the year before. Net debt was reduced to £18.4m. The cost base has been cut and efficiency improved through capital investment in facilities. In July, a £11m military contract was won by the torque transmission business.
Personal protection and insurance products provider CPP Group (CPP) says that trading in India has recovered in the past few weeks, but there had been a sharp reduction activity in April and May. The back books continue to generate revenues, although they are declining. Overall trading is in line with expectations.
MAIN MARKET
Standard list shell Hawkwing (HNG) has agreed to acquire ecommerce aggregator Internet Fusion Group, which owns nine speciality retail businesses. It has developed the Reactor platform which brings together retail businesses and brands. Trading in the shares has been suspended.
LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) has continued to improve its performance in the first half. Interim revenues are expected to be £108m and underlying operating profit of £19m. The second half will be even stronger. Luceco expects full year revenues to be at least one-quarter higher at £220m and underlying operating profit 30% ahead at £39m.
Maternity wear retailer Seraphine Group (BUMP) raised £61m at 295p when it joined the premium list last Friday. The cash will be used to pay off loans and finance growth. The share price started conditional dealings earlier in the week at 305p and subsequently fell back, opening at 280.05p when dealings were unconditional. The share price ended the day at 279.4p
HeiQ (HEIQ) has signed a collaboration agreement with LYCRA and the first product should be launched by the autumn. This will combine freshness and antiviral benefits with LYCRA stretch fabrics.
Nuformix (NFX) expects to develop a phase 1-ready formulation of its NXP002 inhaled treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in the next 18 months. This could be a time to seek a partner.

United Win Asia has invested £3.15m in Samarkand (SMK) at 115p a share, which is the same as the original placing price but well below the market price. United Win Asia is part of a logistics group and this fits well with Samarkand’s ecommerce platform.
Clarify Pharma plans to raise £5m at 3p a share, which would value the life sciences company at £10.5m. The focus is psychedelic-based substances that can be used to treat PTSD, Alzheimer’s and depression. Investments will be identified in the UK and Canada. The board is dominated by the same team, including Michael Edwards, that floated decentralised finance (DeFi) focused investment company Dispersion Holdings (DEFI) and NFT Investments (NFT), which is investing in a portfolio of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Michael Edwards is also chairman of Pioneer Media Inc. This is a company that has floated on the Canadian Stock Exchange and plans to gain a quote on Aquis. Pioneer is seeking investments in eSports and mobile gaming. The expected admission date is 25 May.
Pharma C Investments is an early-stage investor in the medical cannabis sector. The focus will be on markets that already have legislation and regulations. The plan is to raise £1m and the expected admission date is 26 May.
Greencare Capital (GRE) has appointed Richard Tonthat as chief executive. The cannabis-focused investment company recently made its first two investments after its original acquisition fell through. Richard Tonthat has worked at Grant Thornton and British American Tobacco, when it made a large cannabis acquisition in Canada.
ASX-listed Pacific Nickel has completed the acquisition of 80% of Kolosori Nickel and Gunsynd (GUN) has received 682,790 Pacific Nickel shares at 8 cents each for its stake. The current Pacific Nickel shareholding is 1.95 million shares. There will be deferred consideration if a mining lease is granted, and the mineral resource is confirmed. Gunsynd could receive a further 1.14 million shares if this is achieved.
Eight Capital Partners (ECP) is acquiring corporate finance adviser Innovative Finance Srl for an initial €2.45m with a further €2.45m payable depending on performance over three years. Eight Capital Partners previously had an option to acquire a 60% stake. Concreta Srl will own 9.9% of Eight Capital Partners and chairman Dominic White will own 29.9% – he is also loaning the company €1.1m.
Cadence Minerals (KDNC) says that a second batch of iron ore has been shipped from stockpiles at the Amapa project in Brazil. The cash will be used to pay creditors, including ex-employees. The remaining creditors need to be paid before Cadence acquires a 20% stake in Amapa. A further investment of $3.5m would take the stake to 27%.
R Oldfield has been buying shares in Shepherd Neame (SHEP). He bought 6,356 shares at 1032p each, a further 2,500 shares at 1038p each and 16,144 shares at 1035p each.

Motor dealer Vertu Motors (VTU) performed In the year to February 2021, revenues fell from £3.1bn to £2.5bn, while underlying pre-tax profit improved from £23m to £24.6m. Net cash, excluding leases and vehicle stocking loans, was £1.4m at the end of February 2021. The net tangible asset value is 50.2p a share. At the beginning of May, CIP Merchant Capital (CIP) bought 1.55 million Vertu Motors shares at just over 40.3p each.
Business restructuring company Begbies Traynor (LSE: BEG) has acquired Midlands-based MAF Property, which is a finance broker. The deal could cost up to £11.75m, with £3m in cash and shares upfront and the rest depending on profit growth. The pre-tax profit forecast for the year to April 2022 has been raised from £16.5m to £17m.
Nightcap (NGHT) has raised £10m at 23p a share and strong demand meant that existing shareholders Raymond Blanc and David Moore sold part of their stakes. The original plan was to raise £4m.
e-Therapeutics (ETX) has raised £22.5m, including £920,000 via Primary Bid, at 24p a share. The cash will be used to expand the company’s drug discovery and development operations. There are plans to complete a first in human clinical study for one RNAi asset and advance two or three other RNAi therapeutic programmes through preclinical development.
Great Western Mining (GWMO) has completed an initial six-hole drilling programme at the Trafalgar Hill project in Nevada. All six holes intercepted intercepted the main shallow structure. In the next few weeks there will be further drilling and more analysis and news about these drilling results.
Gaming Realms (GMR) has extended its SLINGO agreement with Scientific Games. The four-year licensing deal includes the opportunity to launch SLINGO digital lottery games.
Trellus Health has the rights to technology that can be used to manage irritable bowel syndrome. It can reduce unplanned hospital visits by 85%. The US-based company expects to join AIM on 28 May.
STM (STM) has sold its Jersey trust and company services business for net cash of at least £1.4m. That reduces the 2021 profit forecast by £100,000 to £2.5m.
Dekel Agri-Vision (DKL) says April crude palm oil production was lower against strong comparatives, but that was offset by higher prices. Arden still expects a move into profit this year – €600,000 is forecast.

Medica Group (MGP) reported a one-fifth reduction in full year revenues to £36.8m. The lack of elective surgery meant that demand for teleradiology services was reduced. However, demand for emergency services slightly increased. There was an initial contribution from the Irish business bought last year. The 2020 underlying pre-tax profit fell from £11m to £4.74m. The US business was acquired this year and an Australian joint venture has been launched.
LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) expects interim operating profit to double to £18m. Operating margins are being maintained even though costs of some components are increasing. Net debt should remain at around £18.3m.
Haysmacintyre and a partner have been reprimanded and fined for its audit of the Associated British Engineering (ASBE) accounts for 2017-18. This was not undertaken in the appropriate manner.
Cizzle Biotechnology (CIZ) has reversed into standard list shell Bould Opportunities. Cizzle is is developing a test that could make diagnosing lung cancer more accurate by preventing false positives. A placing raised £2.2m at 10p a share. Pro forma cash is £1.89m, which is slightly higher than the NAV. The cash will be used to make progress towards gaining CE marking for the biomarker test.

New Apex segment entry Samarkand (SMK) has got off to a strong start. At one point, shares were changing hands at 142p, against the placing price of 115p, but they ended the week at 123.5p (120p/127p). There was £15.4m raised after expenses. The company has developed e-commerce software technology known as Nomad. There are a number of modules and these can be used by clients to sell their products in China. There are 105 special cross-border e-commerce zones in China. This market is expected to reach £138bn in 2021. Samarkand also sells its own brands in China and some of the money raised will be used to buy other brands.
Incanthera (INC) has raised £1.14m at 12p a share. This will provide enough cash until the middle of 2022. There are discussions ongoing with two potential partners for the Sol skin cancer prevention product.
Imperial X (IMPP) has announced its intention to gain a standard listing and raise up to £1.5m. The company will change its name to Cloudbreak Discovery.
Rutherford Health (RUTH) has secured a £40m investment from Equitix Investment Management. In return the freehold of the South Wales centre will be transferred and there will be other security. There will be an initial investment of £25m with the rest paid in three equal instalments. The cash will be used for investing in infrastructure. The current debt of £18.6m will be repaid.
Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) generated flat operating income of £72.5m, while there was a £1.1m loss. Management is optimistic about a strong rebound if the government continues with its current roadmap out of lockdown. There is a growing demand for lending.
Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) had NAV of 57.97p a share at the end of February 2021. That is before the sale of the investment in Anthesis for £1.15m. That leaves the company with £2.64m in cash.
In the first 18 days of March Bin 1301, a bar in Washington DC where Rogue Baron (SHNJ) has a stake, generated sales of $35,330, nearly double the same time the previous year. That is despite Covid restrictions.
SulNOx Group (SNOX) has appointed A and S International as a distributor of lubrication and bioremediation products.
EPE Special Opportunities (ESO) had an NAV of 437.63p a share at the end of January 2021, which was a 38% increase on the year before thanks to the strong performance of the Luceco (LUCE) share price. EPE is considering raising more cash through a loan note issue. That would provide further cash for investment.
Altona Rare Earths (ANR) has secured a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of a rare earths mining project in Mozambique. The plaln is to buy 70% of the Monte Muambe rare earths project, via an earn-in.
First Sentinel has resigned as corporate adviser to Block Commodities (BLCC) after less than one month in the position. Block has entered into an option in partnership with Century Cobalt Corporation to acquire two million seeds, which can be used to produce medicinal grade cannabis. Block would have to issue more than 142.8 million shares at 0.07p each if the option is taken up.
Chris Akers has increased his stake in Quetzal Capital (WENP) from 15.2% to 17.2%.

AIM
Hormonal disease treatments developer Diurnal (DNL) says that Chronocourt, also known as Efmody could gain approval in the EU by the summer and that could enable a commercial launch in some European markets in the third quarter. Chronocourt/Efmody is a modified release hydrocortisone used to treat adult and adolescent patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which is caused by a block in cortisol production. Potential sales are greater than for Alkindi, which is aimed at children.
A potential management buyout for Cambria Automobiles (LON: CAMB) at 80p a share would value the motor dealer at £80m. This is a premium of more than one-fifth to the previous market price.
Digital healthcare company Cambridge Cognition (COG) substantially reduced its loss in 2020 and is on course to move into profit this year. Revenues increased and expenses were reduced. There is a strong order book. There was £3m in the bank at the end of 2020. Voice-based service NeuroVocalix is set to be launched this year.
Cyber security firm ECSC (ECSC) grew recurring revenues by 22% to £2.4m last year. Even so, total revenues fell 4% to £5.7m due to a tough second quarter. The loss fell from £639,000 to £153,000. Net cash is £1.1m. There has been a good start to the new year with a clutch of contract wins.
STM Group (STM) has sold its trust and company services business for £2.45m plus net assets at completion of around £570,000. This has been non-core for some time. This will reduce short-term earnings – although there could be some cost savings – but the company can focus on pension administration and life assurance.
Judges Scientific (JDG) continued its record of increasing the ongoing dividend with a 10% increase to 55p a share. Pre-tax profit fell from £17m to £13.7m in 2020 and it could recover to £16m this year.
MJ Hudson (MJH) managed organic revenue growth of 3.6% in the first half, even though there was a lack of new fund launches. Cross-selling is paying off. The North American operations are more significant following recent acquisitions. Further acquisitions will help to increase the scale of the business.
Chariot Oil and Gas (CHAR) is acquiring AEMP, an African renewable energy developer, for up to $2m. There are discussions with mine operators that require 500MW of electricity.
MAIN MARKET
Foams manufacturer Zotefoams (ZTF) almost maintained its pre-tax profit last year thanks to strong sales to the footwear sector. Revenues were 2% ahead at £82.7m, but pre-tax profit was 5% lower at £8.3m. The final dividend is 4.27p a share. The new factory in Poland has started production and capital investment should be lower this year. Net debt was £35.6m at the end of 2020 and this figure should fall this year. This year pre-tax profit should improve to £9.3m.
LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LSE: LUCE) more than doubled 2020 pre-tax profit from £15.8m to £34m, even though revenues barely increased. Margins improved significantly, but there is still potential to improve LED operating margins. A strong second half offset the more difficult first half. The dividend is 6.2p a share. Net debt has fallen to £18.3m.
Oxilio has decided to exercise its option with drug developer Nuformix (NFX) to licence NXP001 for oncology indications. A licence agreement is being worked on. Once completed it will trigger a second upfront payment. Future royalties for any commercial treatments are capped at £2m a year.
Books publisher Quarto Group Inc (QRT) reported a dip in revenues from $135.8m to $126.9m, while adjusted pre-tax profit improved from $5.1m to $7.9m. Capitalised development costs were reduced from $23.8m to $20.3m, although the amortisation charge was higher at $28.6m. Strong cash flow combined with a share issue helped reduce net debt from $50.5m to $19.7m.
Dukemount Capital (DKE) is moving into the flexible power sector. A 50%-owned joint venture called HKSB will develop two 11KV gas peaking facilities that will produce 10MW for a total cost of £6.25m. The plan is to secure 15-year, CPI-linked contracts for each site.
Residential property developer One Heritage Group (OHG) had net assets of 9.25p a share at the end of 2020. There was an interim loss.

Rutherford Health (RUTH) has signed contracts with the NHS that underpin a significant proportion of its fixed costs. More cash will be required in order to take advantage of the potential for the cancer care clinics. The cash will be needed in the next few months and could be raised at the same time as moving to AIM. Capacity of the Cardiff site could be fully utilised in 2021 and patients have been booked in at three other sites.
Broadband services provider Rural Broadband Solutions (RBBS) has grown its number of connections to 2,500 by the start of January and is signing up 25 a month. Digital marketing is being increased to attract clients that have access to the Rural Gigabit voucher funding scheme. There is interest from 300 households so the company can apply for £1m of government funding. The target is 5,000 monthly paying customers by October 2023.
S-Ventures (SVEN) has acquired 75.1% of We Love Purely Ltd by issuing 1.53 million shares at 9p a share, which is equivalent to £137,600 and paying off a loan of £30,000. We Love Purely is a snacks supplier and it sells Purely plantain chips. Under new ownership the product range will be expanded. Two S-Ventures directors held shares in the acquired company.
Investment company Gledhow Investments (GDH) raised £1.69m from investment disposals in the year to September 2020. That generated a profit of £508,000 after admin expenses. NAV increased from £884,000 to £1.3m. That includes £382,000 of cash compared with a market capitalisation of £539,000.
Coinsilium Group Ltd (COIN) says that the value of its crypto currency position has increased by two-fifths. On 21 January, there was cash of $1.5m, which is mainly crypto currencies. There are also $164,000 of RIF tokens that will vest over 22 months.
Gunsynd (GUN) has converted part of its loan to Rogue Baron at 3.97p a share and that gives it a 19.7% stake in the drinks company. Once Rogue Baron joins Aquis Stock Exchange the rest of the loan stock will be converted. Warrants have been exercised that raised £200,000 for Gunsynd.
Engineer Vulcan Industries (VULC) says third quarter trading was in line with expectations. Third quarter revenues were 14% higher the second quarter at £1.6m. Order books are strong. The proposed acquisition of E Lowe will not happen.
Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) has maintained its NAV at 52.75p a share at the end of November 2020. There are 16 investments in the portfolio.

AIM
Business restructuring company Begbies Traynor (LSE: BEG) has acquired rival CVR Global for up to £20.8m, which is its largest acquisition. CVR’s annual profit was £1.2m and there are potential cost savings of £750,000 a year.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals (BXP) is acquiring Sanofi Bangladesh for £35.5m. The deal is still subject to regulatory approval. This will broaden the product range and helps the group move into new sectors. It will also add more manufacturing capacity. The deal should be earnings enhancing. Sanofi made a pre-tax profit of £4.3m in 2019.
Ground engineering contractor Van Elle (VANL) made a loss in the first half of 2020-21 and trading remains mixed. Interim revenues fell by 21% due to the original lockdown and delayed rail work, but there should be a recovery in the second half. Cost reductions are coming through and helping to stem the loss. This puts Van Elle in a stronger position for the next financial year. Improving utilisation of equipment will help the company return to profit and start paying dividends again.
Acoustic materials supplier Autins (AUTG) would have reported halved second-hand revenues without the contribution from PPE. Full year revenues fell from £26.9m to £21.5m as one major automotive customer was hit by production problems. The loss increased from £1.54m to £1.76m. The high depreciation charge means that £1.48m of cash was generated from operations during the year. The Neptune product is gaining new contracts, particularly for electric vehicles.
Flexible printed circuit technology developer Trackwise Designs (TWD) disappointed the market with its trading statement. Growth in revenues has been slower than expected due to short-term problems, but finnCap has maintained its 2021 forecast, which predicts a rise in revenues from £6.2m to £14.2m. That would be enough to make the company profitable.
Alumasc (LSE: ALU) traded ahead of expectations in the six months to December 2020 and this has led to a large upgrade in the full year pre-tax profit forecast to £8.9m. There has been a bounce back in building and construction activity.
Trans-Siberian Gold (TSG) produced 15,217 ounces of gold at the Asacha mine in the fourth quarter, taking the total for the year to 45,066 ounces. Annual revenues were $81m. Production has stopped at Vein 25 because of an accident that killed two people. Mining in the main zone continues.
CCTV equipment supplier UniVision Engineering Ltd (UVEL) has signed a supplementary agreement with MTR Corp in Hong Kong for an additional £1.53m of work.

Castillo Copper (CCZ) is considering selling its Broken Hill Alliance (BHA) project. This will enable the company to focus on the Mt Oxide project in Queensland, where there have been positive drilling results. Plans are being made to accelerate the development of this project. There should be more news about the other assays from the drilling and there will be modelling of a JORC resource. It makes sense to focus on this asset. BHA has is highly prospective for silver, zinc and lead in the west zone and iron oxide copper gold in the east zone. There should be interest from companies operating in the region. BHA could be sold or spun off into a quoted vehicle.
Personal care products supplier InnovaDerma (IDP) is raising £4m from a placing with up to £500,000 more to come from an open offer. This cash will finance investment in ecommerce and improve the balance sheet. The business continues to lose money. It could be profitable in 2021-22.
Argo Blockchain (ARB) has raised £22.4m at 80p a share and the cash will be invested in more crypto currency mining equipment. This will be installed between February and June. Capacity will be increased by nearly three-fifths.
Strong footwear sales helped Zotefoams (ZTF) to achieve slightly higher revenues in 2020 with pre-tax profit at the top end of expectations.
Flavour ingredients supplier Treatt (TET) continues to perform strongly in the first four months of the financial year. Drinks volumes have increased despite Covid-19 restrictions and this has helped Treatt. Forecasts have been raised with the 2020-21 pre-tax profit figure increased from £15.2m to £18.2m.
Tiziana Life Sciences (TILS) has switched from AIM to the Main Market.

Daniel Thwaites (THW) had a strong eleven months in the year to March 2020, but the final month was unsurprisingly poor for the brewer and pubs operator. Full year revenues edged up from £96.9m to £98.1m, while pre-tax profit fell from £4.5m to £3.6m. Net debt was reduced from £69.7m to £65.4m, helped by property disposals. No dividends are planned in the near future.
EPE Special Opportunities (ESO) has taken advantage of the strong Luceco (LUCE) share price and sold four million shares for total proceeds of £10m. EPE still owns a 24.9% stake.
KR1 (KR1) has participated in token generation by four platforms. There was a follow-on participation in a Plasm Network distribution event, while KR1 has also received tokens from ChainX, Edgeware and Phala Network. The Phala Network tokens have been sold for nearly $124,000.
BWA (BWAP) has given St George’s Eco-Mining Corp until 27 November to repurchase the company’s investment in Kings of the North Corp.
Tectonic Gold (TTAU) says that the first hole drilled at the Specimen Hill prospect in Queensland has signs of gold bearing mineralisation. A second hole is underway.
Evrima (EVA) and partner Power Metal Resources (POW) have published a drilling update for the Molopo Farms complex in Botswana. The first hole has been completed at the nickel sulphide and platinum project. This confirmed that it is a feeder zone. Samples will be tested. There is a four-hole drilling programme.
Cadence Minerals (KDNC) owns 30% of mining and exploration leases that form part of the Yangibana rare earth deposit. Drilling has confirmed that recent drilling results show an economic mineralised corridor 8km long.
Gledhow Investments (GDH) has taken a 4.82% stake in IamFire (FIRE).
NQ Minerals (NQMI) has raised £835,000 at 5.5p a share, which is below the 7p a share that a UK institutional investor paid last month. Early Equity (EEQP) raised £105,000 at 0.5p a share.
AIM
Trackwise Designs (TWD) is raising a further £11m at 200p in order to finance a new Improved Harness Technology (IHT) manufacturing site to quadruple capacity. That is a large discount to the market price of 320p. A further £1m could be raised via an open offer. Back in March, there was a £5.87m fundraising at 80p a share. That was at the time of the purchase of Stevenage Circuits for up to £2.457m. The rest of that cash was earmarked for capacity expansion. The subsequent orders received by Trackwise mean that further investment in capacity is required. The funding dilutes short-term earnings per share.
Agricultural supplies group Wynnstay (WYN) had a strong end to its financial year, particularly September and October. Feed sales were better than expected. There will be one-off costs for closing three sites. Shore Capital has upgraded its underlying pre-tax profit forecast from £6.7m to £8.1m. The dividend is likely to be maintained at 14p a share.
Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings (IDH) has broken its record and published interim figures at 6.22pm on Friday. Revenues fell by 27% and the company made a bigger loss.
Staffline (STAF) is selling its apprenticeships business to Babington Business College for a nominal fee. The business was losing money in the first half of 2020, although it was a lower loss than the year before. Staffline will concentrate on recruitment and adult skills training.
Bion (BION) is establishing a biogas consortium with three other companies in Malaysia. The plan is to formalise the partnership so that a special purpose vehicle that would be 55%-owned by Bion will own and operate biogas assets of Bion and Green Lagoon Technology. The new venture would be the largest owner of biogas plants in Malaysia. Shareholders will have to approve the deal if it goes ahead. Bion will work with the other two companies to develop waste-to-energy projects.
Trading is ahead of expectations at Somero Enterprises (SOM) and this should enable a significant supplementary dividend for 2020. The concrete levelling equipment supplier is expected to end the year with net cash of $26m.
Dekel Agri-Vision (DKL) has completed the acquisition of the stake in the Cote d’Ivoire cashew nut processing project that takes its shareholding to 52%. October palm oil production was 1,818 metric tonnes and 1,843 metric tonnes was sold. The average price improved to €636/tonne.
Mirada (MIRA) has integrated Disney+ into its Iris platform for Televisa’s izzi pay TV platform in Mexico.
Invinity Energy Systems (IES) has gained a contract to deliver a 0.5MWh vanadium flow battery system to a site in California. This should generate £480,000in 2021. There is also an order for two smaller battery modules.
Three potential bidders are assessing offers for Telit Communications (TCM) and the latest is u-blox, which is considering an all-share offer worth 250p a share. DBAY Advisors and Lantronix are the other potential bidders.
MAIN MARKET
Packaging supplier Macfarlane (MACF) says that trading in the four months to October 2020 is ahead of the same period in 2019. Full year pre-tax profit is expected to be similar to last year at around £14m. It was previously expected to be more than 10% lower. Arden forecasts a total 2020 dividend of 2.4p a share.
Emmerson (EML) has completed the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the Khemisset potash project in northern Morocco.
Petra Diamonds (PDL) has an agreement in principle for a restructuring that involves the raising of money from a loan note issue and the remainder of the loan notes will be converted into shares equivalent to 91% of the enlarged share capital.
Thalassa (THAL) has invested £300,000 in foreign exchange and international payments firm Cornerstone FS for a 3.65% stake. This follows a £3m investment in 8% convertible loan notes in payment systems company Tappit Technologies.

Truspine Technologies (TSP) says that the latest tests of Cervi-Lok, which is a spinal stabilisation device, have been positive. The tests used a computer-generated model and it showed that Cervi-Lok had a reduction in range of motion that was better than existing screw-based fixation systems. FDA clearance is expected early next year.
Vulcan Industries (VULC) is acquiring the business and assets of Romar Process Engineering for £550,000 in cash and shares. Romar is a metal fabrication business and in the nine-months to July 2020 it made a pre-tax profit of £202,000 on revenues of £732,000. The group will be able to undertake larger contracts and some production will be transferred to the Romar facility. The exclusivity period for the proposed acquisition of E Lowe has been extended.
Early Equity (EEQP) has bought a 1% stake in Lotto Studios for £50,000. Lotto licences entertainment and sports brands for lottery and casino games. Early Equity believes that it can help with opportunities in Asia.
Gunsynd (GUN) has sold its 600,000 shares in Bunker Hill Mining raising £164,000. The investment company has reinvested £146,000 in Empress Royalty Corp.
Graham Lyon has stepped down as non-executive chairman and Majken Korsgaard has resigned as non-executive director of SulNOx Group (SNOX) and this means that trading in the shares has been suspended because there is no independent director. Nicholas Nelson has been reappointed as a director. Shipleys has resigned as auditor. Resolutions allowing the company to issue more shares were not passed at the AGM.
Tectonic Gold (TTAU) says that it is progressing towards drilling at the Specimen Hill prospect in Queensland. Samples have returned assays of more than 3.5g/t gold and more than 45g/t silver.

Rural Broadband Solutions (RBBS) has started trading following the reverse takeover of Secure Web Services by SAPO. Chris Akers has a 3.29% stake.

Vianet (VNET) says that interim trading was ahead of Covid-19 revised expectations. There has been a month-on-month improvement in cash and profit during the period. New restrictions on hospitality outlets could hamper progress. The interims will be published on 8 December.
Full year figures from Tristel (TSTL) were slightly better than anticipated. The disinfection products supplier increased revenues by 21% to £31.7m and a 27% rise in underlying pre-tax profit to £7.1m. Profit growth will be held back this year by additional investment in the US, where there should be positive news about FDA approval of products.
C4X Discovery (C4XD) has raised £15m at 14p a share. This has nearly doubled the number of shares in issue. The cash will provide a strong financial position for C4X when it is negotiating with potential partners and strategic collaborators. It will also fund the development of potential drugs. that The cash should last for at least 12 months. Indivior has started a phase I clinical trial for C4X_3256 for the treatment of opioid dependence. The trial will last until the end of the year and there will be data in 2021.
Judges Scientific (JDG) is acquiring Korvus Technology, which supplies vapour deposition systems, for an initial £2.64m. This has sparked a small upgrade to the 2021 pre-tax profit forecast taking it to £15.2m.
Gold recovery services company Goldplat (GDP) has increased profit from activities in South Africa and Ghana. The sale of the Kilmapesa mine should be completed by December.
Rare books supplier Scholium (SCH) made a small interim loss. Shapero Rare Books increased its online activity. There will be annual savings of more than £100,000 from moving to new premises.
Orchard Funding (ORCH) has decided to withdraw its application for a banking licence.
Seeing Machines (SEE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with L3 Harris Technologies that could take the company’s computer vision technology into the flight simulator market.

MAIN MARKET
Strong third quarter trading has helped LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) to increase its guidance for full year operating profit from £23m to between £28m and £30m.
Contango Holdings (CGO) has raised £1.8m at 5p a share and acquired the Garalo gold project in southern Mali for $1m, with $100,000 paid and the rest due in February. The rest of the cash will finance the development of the project so that gold production can start before the end of 2021. Capital costs of $1.2m are expected with further finance of $4m being sought to build up production. Target production is 30,000 ounces per year. The non-independent resource is 320,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 1.5g/t. Costs should be less than $1,000/ounce.
Aircraft lessor Avation (AVAP) increased revenues by 14% to $135.3m and there was a full year pre-tax profit of $14.6m after a net impairment charge. Mitigating lender agreements have been made with clients.
Edale Capital has sent a requisition notice to InnovaDerma (IDP) in order to force an AGM re-election vote for two existing directors and to propose a new director.
Property investor Town Centre Securities (TOWN) says that it collected 75% of rents in the latest quarter with 10% deferred. Since June, £41.2m has been raised from retail property disposals.
