AQUIS STOCK EXCHANGE

Incanthera (INC) has been accused of potential patent infringement in the formulation of its Skin + Cell skincare range. Even though Incanthera believes that there is no merit to the accusation, but the launch of the Skin + Cell range of products has been delayed. There is cash in the bank following a £2.6m subscription at 15p/share.

WeCap (WCAP) has converted £7.75m of loan notes in WeShop Holdings in return for 3.21 million shares, which is 1.33 million shares at 300p each and 1.875 million shares at 200p each. This increases the shareholding to 16.2%, including shares owned by 235%-owned Community Social Investments. WeCap says that the value of the shareholding is £24.6m, based on the last fundraising share price of 476p. WeCao has extended the discounted capital bond issued to Hawk Holdings for 18 months. The total owed is £6.18m.

Electric vehicle technology developer Equipmake (EQIP) increased full year revenues by three-fifths to £8.1m. Bus repowering revenues grew fastest, but this is labour intensive at low volumes. The loss increased from £5m to £9.1m. The cash outflow from operations declined from £9m to £6.29m. Costs are being reduced. There was £2.5m in the bank at the end of May 2024. A potential licensing agreement could provide cash flow over the next two years.

Water sector installation works provider Field Systems Design Holdings (FSD) improved annual revenues from £13.8m to £17.8m, with a small contribution from power generation. This enabled pre-tax profit to increase from £287,000 to £490,000. There was £2.59m in the bank at the end of May 2024.

KR1 (KR1) had net assets of 57.79p/share at the end of October 2024, down from 62.15p/share at the end of the previous month. There was nearly £600,000 of income generated from digital assets during the month.

Tectonic Gold (TTAU) reported a fall in the full year cash outflow from operating activities from £171,000 to £55,000. Net debt is £86,000 at the end of June 2024. The sae of assets has raised $150,000, as well as a R and D tax inflow of A$173,000.

Inqo Investments (INQO) reported full year revenues improving from R7.37m to R8.2m. There was a movement from loss to profit.

Essentially Group (ESSN) has terminated its retainer with broker Clear Capital Markets.

In the year to June 2024, there was a cash outflow from operating activities of £375,000 at BWA (BWAP). Further exploration drilling is underway at Dehane and sample analysis results should be available in the near future. Chairman Jonathan Wearing has subscribed for 40 million shares at 0.5p each.

SulNOx Group (SNOX) has appointed Fuelonomics Hydrocarbons Innovations as distributor of SulNOxEco fuel conditioners in Nigeria.

Vinanz Ltd (BTC) has received the initial order of Bitcoin miners and they are up and running in Nebraska.

Arbuthnot Banking Group (ARBB) chairman and chief executive Sir Henry Angest has bought 116,000 shares at 900p each. He owns 58% of the voting shares. Barry Hersh has reduced his stake in Global Connectivity (GCON) from 6.97% to 5.96%. Newbury Racecourse (NYR) chairman Dominic Burke has bought 7,500 shares at 540p each.

Wishbone Gold (WSBN) has appointed Tony Moore as chairman and Jack Sun as finance director. Invinity Energy Systems (IES) has hired Adam Howard as finance director. He was previously at the National Walth Fund.

AIM

Frasers Group has taken a 6.4% stake in electricals retailer Marks Electrical (MRK). Frasers has a record of taking stakes in other retailers and it also has shareholdings in AO World and Currys. Canaccord Genuity has reduced its stake from 5.24% to 2.4%. Founder Mark Smithson still owns 73.8%. Rockwood Strategic (RKW) has built up a 4.54% stake in Kooth (KOO). This follows Canaccrd Genuity cutting its stake from 8.97% to 3.38%. River Global Investors recently nearly doubled its stake to 10.1%.

Bars operator Loungers (LGRS) has agreed a 310p/share cash bid from Fortress Investment, which values it at £338.3m. Irrevocable acceptances are 40.2%. Singer does not believe that this fully values the business and thinks 375p/share is a fairer value. Interim pre-tax profit grew 51% to £5.95m, while net debt was £12.2m. Like-for-like growth in revenues has been 3.9% so far in the third quarter.

Rare books dealer Scholium (SCHO) intends to leave AIM and believes this will save at least £75,000/year. In the six months to September 2024, underlying pre-tax profit improved from £43,000 to £221,000 on revenues that improved 30% to £4.97m. A matched bargain facility will be provided by JP Jenkins. The AIM cancellation is likely to be on 6 January. NAV is 74.6p/share.

In the six months to September 2024, TPXimpact (TPX) revenues fell from £41.6m to £37.8m, but underlying pre-tax profit improved from £600,000 to £1.1m. Most of the benefits from £3m of annualised cost savings will come through in the second half and next year. Net debt is £7.9m. The forecast 2024-25 revenues are already more than 90% underpinned by the current order book. Pre-tax profit should improve from £1.8m to £5.5m.

Trading at sustainable wood materials supplier Accsys Technologies (AXS) improved in the first half and full year figures will be better than expected. Interim revenues were 1% higher at €72.2m and there is also an initial contribution from the US joint venture of €1.9m. Arnhem plant volumes grew 5%. Underlying EBITDA rose from €1.6m to €4m. There was an exceptional charge of €20.8m due to the winding up of the Hull plant and the share of the joint venture loss jumped from €1.2m to €6.1m. Net debt was €40.2m at the end of September 2024. Full year EBITDA of €10m is forecast.

Gift wrap supplier IG Design (IGR) reported an 11% decline in interim revenues to $393.1m with North America still a problem area. Elsewhere, revenues fell at a slower rate. Stationery and party-related sales both fell by more than one-fifth. Higher sourcing and freight costs hit gross margins and there was a knock-on effect on operating margins. Pre-tax profit was 62% lower at $13.3m. The second half is the most important part of the year and even though full year revenues are set to fall, pre-tax profit is still forecast to improve from $25.9m to $32.7m.

Helix Exploration (HEX) reports that the Amsden formation at the Clink#1 well in the Ingomar Dome in Montana has sub-economic grades of helium. Amsden was always thought to be a small proportion of the potential resource. The more important Flathead formation at the same well had 2.5% helium. The company believes that there could be helium below the Amsden formation and there will be appraisal testing of the Charles formation.

Strix (KETL) says that the kettle controls market has weakened, particularly in higher margin markets in the UK and Germany. The positive signs in the first half did not continue. This is due to poor consumer confidence, while there are also cost pressures. Zeus has reduced its 2024 pre-tax profit forecast from £23.6m to £17.5m.

Nativo Resources (NTVO) owns 50% of Boku Resources, which owns the Tesoro gold mine. Boku has entered an agreement to sell vein material from the Bonanza mine to a local processing plant. It will receive the spot price minus 20-30%. Production is about to be built up and the cash from the deal will help to finance this.

Electric Guitar (ELEG) is placing its main subsidiary 3radical into administration after it failed to raise additional cash. The fall in the share price and apparent lack of liquidity before trading was suspended meant that the digital media business could not gain funding.

i-nexus Global (INX) intends to leave AIM. The cloud-based software provider says poor share price performance and liquidity has led to the proposal. There should be direct cost savings of £250,000. The business has been consistently loss making. There is a three-year growth plan. i-nexus Global raised £10m at 79p/share when it joined AIM in June 2018. The cancellation will happen on 27 December if shareholders agree.

Firering Strategic Minerals (FRG) announced a maiden JORC compliant mineral resource estimate for the quicklime project in Zambia. This shows a near-doubling of the resource tonnes compared with the 2017 estimate. There is 145.2Mt at 95.7% CaCO3, including 11.8Mt in the measured category. This could provide more than 50 years of production. There is growing demand from copper and industrial clients.

Ultrasound simulators developer Intelligent Ultrasound (IUG) has court approval for the capital reorganisation that will allow distribution of cash generated by the AI technology sale. There is £39.6m in the bank. Ultrasound revenues have fallen from £8.4m to £7.4m in the period to 22 November. The rate of decline has slowed in the second half.

Mercia Asset Management (MERC) has unchanged NAV of 43.4p/share at the end of September 2024. Income more than covered costs before any investment valuation movements. The interim dividend is 0.37p/share, up 6%, and there is £46m in cash on the balance sheet. The strategy is to grow assets under management to £3bn, from the current level of £1.8bn.

In the six months to September 2024, Cloud-based services provider Iomart (LSE: IOM) reported flat revenues of £62m, with a like-for-like decline when acquisitions are excluded, and a slump in pre-tax profit from £7.6m to £4.3m. The dividend has been reduced from 1.94p/share to 1.3p/share due to the lower earnings. The £57m purchase of Atech broadens the range of services provided and deepens the relationship with Microsoft. Atech provides fully managed and security services for mid-market business and enterprise customers. Net debt was £29.8m, but it is expected to rise to £79m in March 2025 following the payment for Atech.

In the six months to September 2024, thermal insulation and acoustic material manufacturer Autins Group (AUTG) was hit by a 17% drop in revenues, but gross margins improved. Underlying EBITDA fell 46% to £400,000. Net debt is £1.18m but there are more than £3m of available borrowing facilities.

Building services provider Northern Bear (NTBR) interims show a small improvement in revenues from £36.9m to £37.6m, but higher overheads meant that pre-tax profit dipped from £1.68m to £1.54m, although this was slightly better than expected. There was an operational cash inflow of £2.2m. Net debt is £1.4m. Hybridan forecasts a dip in full year pre-tax profit from £2.14m to £1.84m, although there is potential for an upgrade.

Cyber security services provider Shearwater (SWG) improved interim revenues by 8% to £11.3m and it is on course to be profitable for the full year. There has been an increase in demand for on-premises cyber security, which Shearwater can provide. Net cash should be £6.8m at the end of March 2025.

Quadrise (QED) has signed two long-awaited agreements. The deal with shipping company MSC and Cargill involves production of bioMSAR and MSAR fuels in Antwerp and will enable vessel trials on board the MSC Leandra. Cargill will supply feedstocks and sell the fuels to MSC. The trial should start in the first quarter of 2025. There is also an agreement with fuel supplier Auramarine to develop decarbonisation products in the marine sector. They will enable companies to comply with new environmental regulations.

Oracle Power (ORCP) has received the final batch of assay results for the drilling at the Northern Zone intrusive hosted gold project. These show high grades over an expanded area. A mineralisation report is expected by the end of November and then a mining lease application will be submitted. Cantor Fitzgerald has reduced its stake, and Mahfuz Chowdhury has taken a 3.72% shareholding.

MAIN MARKET

Packaging manufacturer and distributor Macfarlane Group (MACF) says revenues in the 10 months to October 2024 are 4% lower. This represents a steady performance in current markets with new business being won. Net dent is £4.7m. National Insurance and other budget measures will cost £1.5m/year.

Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT) reported a decline in NAV from 96.2p/share to 93.96p/share over the first quarter to September 2024. A foreign exchange loss offset gains. The S/£ exchange rate has strengthened, and the value of the portfolio has increased by more than the first quarter loss. Shares in NASDAQ-listed AST SpaceMobile more than doubled in value during the period. There was £24.9m in the bank.

Cardiff Property (CDFF) grew NAV from 2844p/share to 2931p/share. The dividend was raised from 22p/share to 23.5p/share. Net cash was £2m at the end of September 2024.

Motor dealer Caffyns (CFYN) improved interim underlying pre-tax profit from £259,000 to £452,000. The interim dividend is maintained at 5p/share. Net debt is £11.5m. There is £38.4m of property in the balance sheet at book value and there is unrecognised surplus of more than £10m on top of that. Caffyns is selling a property in Lewes for an amount that exceeds one-quarter of the company’s market capitalisation of £12.3m.

AQUIS STOCK EXCHANGE

Marula Mining (MARU) is investing in the established Larisoro manganese mining operation in Kenya by securing a 60% commercial interest with an option to increase it to 70%. There are three shallow open pits and there has been mining for 12 years. The purchase price is £300,000 satisfied by the issue of 2.4 million shares. Marula Mining will provide investment of $1.5m for equipment to enable increased production. Once there is a final agreement another £200,000 will be paid with £300,000 payable after the completion of an exploration programme. The final payment will be £750,000 when 50,000 tonnes of manganese ore is sold. A further £1.25m will be paid if the stake is raised to 70%.

Flow battery storage technology developer Invinity Energy Systems (IES) has secured a new deal with Taiwan-based Everdura, where it will supply the cell stacks and Everdura will handle manufacturing and sales. Performance testing of the first Mistral prototype has been successful and the agreement sets a target of 255MWh of Mistral sales over three years. Additional strategic partners could be announced within six weeks.

Aquis Exchange (AQX), the owner of the Aquis Stock Exchange, has launched conditional order functionality on the Aquis UK and Aquis EU platforms. This enables members to post the same liquidity on multiple venues without the risk of over-trading. This extends the Aquis dark pool, which was launched in 2022. The 2023 results will be published on 21 March. Pre-tax profit is expected to be 16% higher at £5.2m.

Ananda Developments (ANA) says that its subsidiary MRX Medical has signed a drug supply agreement with the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian for the provision of MRX1 cannabidiol oil. This will be used in an endometriosis clinical trial, ENDOCAN-1. MRX will have a licence over all IP generated from the trial for development purposes. It could also licence the IP for commercial purposes.

Digital diagnostic products developer EDX Medical Group (EDX) has raised £1.56m at 12p/share, taking the total raised in February to £5.7m. This will be spent on product development. A WRAP retail offer could raise up to £500,000. This closes on 5 March.

Field Systems Design Holdings (FSD) improved interim revenues from £6.7m to £8.8m, while pre-tax profit rose from £57,000 to £84,000. There has been additional work from the water sector and investment is accelerating. There are secured orders of more than £14m, but there is still pressure on margins. There is £2.18m in the bank.

Quantum technology investment company Quantum Exponential Group (QBIT) is seeking shareholder approval to leave the Aquis Stock Exchange. Apparently potential investors in a fund are not happy that the company is publicly traded. There will also be cost savings from leaving the market. Management is considering potential trading platforms for the shares.

KR1 (KR1) had a NAV of 122.97p/share at the end of January. There was £1.8m of income generated from digital assets during the month.

Gunsynd (GUN) investee company Low 6 has traded profitably in the past seven months and 2023-24 revenues are expected to be £4.5m, up from £855,000 the previous year. Debt is being paid off.

Substrate Artificial (SAI) has increased revenues but the loss has more than doubled due to AI development spending.

Silverwood Brands (SLWD) is acquiring Japanese beauty products manufacturer Cosme Science Corporation. It owns skincare brand Dr Baeltz. No purchase price is mentioned.

Mortgage Chat (MCAI) has entered into a software development agreement with Accru Finance. This is for the design of a web-based application for mortgage queries. The payment for development is £15,000 and 200,000 warrants with an exercise price of 5p. California Two Pizza Ventures Inc has cut its stake from 8.05% to 7.54%.

ProBiotix Health (PBX) has entered a partnership with SymbioPharm. The Germany-based microbiome research company and has an established distribution network. It will use ProBiotix Health’s CholBiome CH formulation in branded consumer products.

BWA Group (BWAP) says reconnaissance drilling at the Dehane 2 heavy mineral sands project in Cameroon has been encouraging. Heavy mineral sands have been observed and analysis is awaited. A further £50,000 has been raised.

Edison has initiated research on prize draw operator Good Life Plus (GDLF). Former Tote boss David Craven is chairman.

Investment company Asimilar Group (ASLR) is holding a general meeting on 27 March to gain shareholder approval to leave the Aquis Stock Exchange. Cost savings will help to prevent the need to sell investments.

Chris Akers has reduced his stake in Tap Global Group (TAP) from 3.7% to below 3%. Andrew Offit increased his shareholding in Supernova Digital (SOL) from 11.9% to 14.1%. Nigel Pope has raised his stake in Phoenix Digital Assets (PNIX) from 3.2% to 4.04%. Steven Bennett increased his stake in Oscillate (MUSH) from 4.75% to 7.12%.

AIM

Grocery distributor Kitwave Group (KITW) continues to grow organically, as well as via acquisition. In the year to October 2023, revenues grew from £503.1m to £602.2m, while underlying pre-tax profit moved up from £18.9m to £27.5m. The acquisition of Wilds of Oldham, where integration will be completed in April, came too late to make a contribution last year. Food service is becoming increasingly important with 30% of revenues last year, up from 25% the year before. It also contributed 43% of EBITDA before central overheads. The total dividend was increased by 21% to 11.2p/share.

eEnergy Group (EAAS) has secured a funding facility from National Westminster of up to £40m. This can be used to fund public sector energy transition projects and lasts 12 years. This will lower the cost of capital. Group continuing revenues were £46m in the 18 months to December 2023. EBITDA was between £5.1m to £5.3m.

Avacta (AVCT) initially wanted to raise £20m via a placing at 50p/share and raise a further £6.8m via a retail offer. The total fundraise has been increased from up to £26.8m to up to £32.5m. Even so, the share price slumped 36.6% to 54.5p. There is already £16.6m in the bank and the rate of cash outflow appears to be declining. The cash will fund further progress with dose expansion and the phase 2 efficacy studies for its main clinical programme AVA6000 and additional working capital up until late 2025 / early 2026. Anything raised in excess of £20m will be spent on AVA3996 and further potential Affimer drug development platforms. There are plans to sell the diagnostics division and for a possible Nasdaq listing.

Horizonte Minerals (HZM) says lenders have extended the deferral of interest payments to 29 March. Management is working with lenders and shareholders on full funding for its Araguaia project. The talks could be finalised by June, but additional funding will be required before that. The $24.8m in the bank should last until the middle of April, depending on any cost savings achieved. The Brazilian subsidiary may need to resort to protective measures to protect its cash position. Horizonte Minerals is a guarantor of the subsidiary’s debt, and it may also need to apply for protective measures if the refinancing is not agreed.

Retail software supplier itim Group (ITIM) has released a trading statement following its contract announcement earlier in the week. Revenues of £16.1m were in line with expectations and annualised recurring revenues were steady at £13.2m. Services revenues were higher. The 2023 loss forecast has been trimmed from £1.3m to £1.1m. itim has won a five-year, multi-million pound contract with fashion retailer QUIZ Clothing. This deal provides an opportunity to attract other fashion retailers. The Retail Suite product will be rebranded as UNIFY.

Semiconductors designer EnSilica (ENSI) reported interim revenues 11.5% ahead at £9.6m, but there was a higher pre-tax loss of £309,000. There has been a strong start to the second half and the latest contract with a US electronics manufacturer is worth $20m, which is fully funding engineering fees. Last December’s placing raised £1.56m at 40p/share. The latest placing raised £1.1m at 50p/share and it has received the R&D tax credit for 2023.

Renalytix (RENX) has broadened the US government coverage for kidneyintelX.dkd testing. This is a FDA de Novo marketing authorised test and the status has enabled it to be added to the 10-year Governmentwide acquisition contract for early stage kidney disease bioprognostic testing services. The fee is $950 per reportable result.

Sustainable polymers developer Itaconix (ITX) is continuing its positive momentum in the cleaning sector and developing more products that will fuel growth. Overall revenues were 41% higher at $7.9m, with strong growth in Europe. Cleaning sector revenues were $7.2m. There is $10m in the bank and that should last long enough to reach cash breakeven.

Video editing technology developer Blackbird (BIRD) is raising £1.05m at 6p/share. The cash will help fund the full launch of content creation tool elevate.io. There was £5.9m in cash prior to the fundraising and the company says that there was interest from investors wanting to buy shares.

Verditek (VDTK) has entered into a conditional sale agreement for its solar business for £528,340, which will be satisfied by the surrender of loan notes plus interest. Shareholder approval is required. Bob Holt and John Charlton are joining the board and the existing directors resigning. Both of them were involved in turning around Sureserve. There is £300,000 being raised at 0.075p/share and Bob Holt will loan the company up to £300,000, which is convertible at 0.075p/share. There are plans to raise a further £1.5m and change the name to Net Zero.

MAIN MARKET

Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) has secured a reverse takeover candidate. British Virgin Islands based Helmond Holding Group, which is changing its name to Essential Energy Holding Group, is a bio-energy company. This expertise could be usefully combined with Hydrogen Utopia International’s waste plastic to hydrogen technology. The deal could be worth £500m.

Aircraft leasing company Avation (AVAP) increased underlying leasing revenues in the six months to December 2023, but operating profit halved from $35.4m to $17.5m, although the difference is mainly down to one-off gains and losses.

AQUIS STOCK EXCHANGE

National Milk Records (NMRP) increased interim revenues by 5% to £12m, while pre-tax profit improved from £750,000 to £790,000. A tax credit meant that earnings increased by a higher percentage. Net debt is £900,000. The main growth was in the core milk testing services, although genomics revenues rose from £173,000 to £336,000. Price increases will help margins in the second half. Full year pre-tax profit is expected to decline from £2.4m to £1.9m. Managing director Andy Warne is taking leave due to illness and the finance director is assuming operational control.

There are problems with the acquisition of a 19.8% stake in skincare products supplier Lush by Silverwood Brands (SLWD) because Lush is refusing to register the change of ownership of the shares. Silverwood Brands is paying £216.8m for the stake and no reason was given for the refusal to record the transfer of the shares.

Samarkand (SMK) has benefitted from the easing of Covid restrictions in China. Although there was a short-term rise in infections, consumer confidence is improving since Chinese New Year. The Chinese government is keen to boost consumption. Partner brands using the company’s Nomad software platform are planning for growth this year and more premium beauty brands have been added to the platform. Samarkand could be profitable in the next financial year.

Invinity Energy Systems (IES) raised £21.5m at 32p a share with up for £4m more to come from a two-for-19 open offer. Taiwan-based Everbrite Technology is investing £2.5m in the placing. The cash will be used for working capital, which is expected to last until the middle of 2024. At that time the next generation Mistral grid scale vanadium battery will be ready for launch. The company will not need to draw down the $10m convertible loan facility.

In the year to October 2022, Hydro Hotel Eastbourne (HYDP) turnover improved from £2.79m to £4.4m, but pre-tax profit dipped from £457,000 to £445,000 because of the lack of government assistance. Trading remains tough. Cash improved to £1.59m.

Shore has upgraded its forecasts for Arbuthnot Banking Group (ARBB) with 2022 earnings increased by 11%. This reflects the benefits of higher interest rates with deposit rates lagging base rates. The 2022 pre-tax profit forecast is £29.5m and the 2023 forecast has been increased £28.5m to £40m. Estimated tangible NAV is 1194p a share.

Shareholders in Walls & Futures REIT (WAFR) have voted in favour of the resolutions enabling strategic investor Vengrove to raise cash for the company through a share issue. The number of shares in issue will be ten times as many as currently in issue. This will help Walls and Futures REIT scale up. Investments will be made in affordable rental housing, education property, service stations and car parks and community buildings. Pax Homes will be sold to Joseph McTaggart, so the group will no longer be a developer. The company’s name will be changed to Social Infrastructure REIT.

In the six months to November 2022, installation and engineering group Field Systems Designs Holdings (FSD) increased revenues from £2.6m to £6.7m and returned to profit in the period. Cash declined from £3.71m to £3.15m. Water companies are accelerating their spending under the current five-year programme and this provides a positive outlook for the business.

Marula Mining (MARU) has increased its stake in the Kinusi copper project in Tanzania from 49% to 75% for up to $550.000. The initial payment is $150,000 in cash and shares. There is high-grade copper mineralisation at the project.

Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd (GSVR) announced drilling results from the San Ignacio mine. There are some high-grade silver intersections plus gold. A new area of thick mineralisation may have been found. This should lead to a significant increase in resources.

Peterhouse has resigned as corporate adviser to Hot Rocks Investments (HRIP) and terms are being agreed with a replacement.

Harry Hyman increased his stake in Oberon Investments (OBE) from 3.75% to 4.23%.

Pharma C Investments (PCIL) has appointed broker Jeremy Woodgate to its board.

AIM

Cancer treatments developer Redx Pharma (REDX) is merging with Jounce Therapeutics and the AIM company’s shareholders will own 63% of the enlarged group. They will receive 0.2105 of a Jounce share for each Redx share. Jounce will be renamed Redx Inc and retain its Nasdaq listing.

Cleantech Lithium (CTL) plans a listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Canaccord Genuity (Australia) and Fox Davies are joint lead managers to the listing, which is expected to happen in the third quarter of 2023. The Chile-focused lithium projects developer has 31% of its shareholders linked to Australia while other potential shareholders are not able to invest in other markets. The AIM quotation will be retained.

Medical disinfection products supplier Tristel (TSTL) is back to past growth rates, helped by price increases. The UK was the fastest growing market. In the six months to December 2022, revenues were 15% ahead at £17.5m and the growth rate was greater if discontinued products are excluded. Pre-tax profit improved from £2.13m to £3.08m. The tax charge is higher, so earnings growth was slower. The interim dividend is maintained at 2.62p a share. Net cash is £8.42m. Progress is being made with the FDA approval for medical device decontamination product DUO ULT. Tristel is spending £3m on FDA approval. To reflect that it has renegotiated the US distribution agreement with Parker Labs.

Engineering business Avingtrans (AVG) increased revenues from £44.5m to £50m in the six months to November 2022 and profit improved. The engineering operations have been hit by supply problems, but there is growth in nuclear and North Sea demand. There is 90% cover for the full year revenues forecast. The medical division is progressing towards the launch of a new imaging product by the end of 2023.

ZOO Digital (ZOO) has signed up a second major Hollywood studio to its cloud-based ZOOstudio ERP service offering subtitling, dubbing and other video services. ZOOstudio will be embedded in the client’s own internal technology platform. Tougher markets in the US mean that film studios and streaming platforms are seeking to grow in international markets, thereby increasing demand for the services offered by ZOO Digital.

Digital services provider Made Tech Group (MTEC) increased interim revenues by 76% to £20.6m, but pre-tax profit fell from £1m to £300,000. Singer still expects full year pre-tax profit to improve from £2.3m to £3.4m. Fewer contractors are being used and margins should rise in the second half. More than £60m of additional bookings have been gained so far in 2022-23.

Circle Property (CRC) has conditionally disposed of Concorde Park in Maidenhead for £12.3m. Somerset House in Birmingham is being sold for £15.2m and Victory House in Northampton is being sold for £2.75m That leaves one property to sell. There is already £32.6m in the bank prior to these disposals. B share issues are planned March and April to return cash to shareholders. The AIM quotation is likely to be cancelled in May.

ECR Minerals (ECR) has published drilling data from the Blue Moon prospect at Bailieston, Victoria with one of the holes at 84.9 metres depth reporting a composite grade of 6.35 metres at 4.56g/t. The rig is moving to the Brewery Lane property at Creswick.

Conroy Gold & Natural Resources (CGNR) made a high-grade gold discovery in a new area of the Longford-Down Massif. Visible gold is present. The grades are between 12.8g/t and 123g/t at the Mines Royal option area in Northern Ireland. Exploration is being carried out with joint venture partner Demir Export.

Snowfall has hit production at the Pakrut gold mine operated by China Nonferrous Gold (CNG). The Tajikistan mine has been hit by avalanches and landslides that have damaged power supply. Operations will be suspended for at least one month.

MAIN MARKET

Roquefort Therapeutics (ROQ) has signed an exclusive licence and royalty agreement with Randox Laboratories for its Midkine antibody portfolio. The ten-year licence excludes Japan and enables Randox to use the Midkine portfolio for medical diagnostics. The two firms will collaborate on potential cancer uses. Roquefort could generate more than £5m over the length of the agreement.

Trifast (TRI) chief executive Mark Belton has resigned after a disappointing trading statement. The fasteners supplier has been hit by Asian destocking. The forecast earnings for 2022-23 have been reduced by 38% to 5.1p a share.

Providence Equity is interested in making a 105p a share offer for Hyve Group (HYVE), which is a small fraction of the flotation share price.

Good Energy (GOOD) says trading to the end of October was in line with expectations, but the subsequent mild winter has reduced gas consumption. Risk management actions should enable the energy supplier to meet 2022 expectations. There was £21.2m in cash at the end of October 2022. Heat pump installer Igloo Works has been acquired for £1.75m. Last year’s revenues were £1m. This will form an energy services division.

Invinity Energy Systems (IES) has sold 15MWh of vanadium flow batteries to Everdura Technology in Taiwan. A deposit will be paid soon, and the first deliveries will be late in 2023. This is the largest ever single order and there is follow-on potential of 255MWh over three years and it will help to underpin 2023 forecast revenues of £23.7m.

Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) has acquired Staffordshire-based MI Accountancy Solutions, which already provides accountancy services to the employee owned businesses investor’s clients. The cost is £90,000 with a further £20,000 deferred depending on performance.

Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) has entered an agreement with Fishertown Property for a proposed lease of a 2.5 acre site in County Longford. This will become its first full scale waste plastic to hydrogen in Europe. A €50,000 payment has been made and an option for the site is being negotiated.

Tectonic Gold (TTAU) has completed drilling at the Specimen Hill project in Queensland. This has intersected a geophysical target below high-grade historic mine. An adjacent target has also been intersected. Joint venture discussions will be pursued.

Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd (GSVR) produced 700,264 of silver equivalent ounces in the third quarter, which is more than double the previous quarter. Cash costs fell by 19% to $19.53/ounce. However, lower silver and gold prices meant that the loss increased.

Field Systems Designs Holdings (FSD) was still affected by Covid in the year to May 2022. The mechanical and engineering contractor’s revenues fell from £9.98m to £8.09m. That meant that the loss increased from £534,000 to £1.9m. Revenues from the water sector have not grown as expected, but work is coming through. More than £9m of work has been secured for this year.

IamFire (FIRE) has subscribed for £2m of convertible loan notes in WeShop Holdings, which could be converted into one million shares, while an existing £4m investment would convert into 1.33 million shares. IamFire has the right to subscribe for a further £1.75m of convertibles. IamFire also holds convertibles in a shell that owns 25% of WeShop.

Pioneer Media Holdings (PNER) generated initial revenues of $482,000 in the year to May 2022. There was a reported loss of $28.6m, after $25.7m of impairment charges and fair value changes on investments. There was a credit of $3.26m relating to changes on accrued consideration. The cash outflow from operations was $2.14m. There is cash of $1.65m.

Recently floated Cooks Coffee Company (COOK) increased interim operational revenues by 37% to NZ$1.93m. Overall revenues fell because of the timing of recognising capital revenues on store openings. Pre-tax profit improved from NZ$128,000 to NZ$146,000 as costs were reduced.

Africa-focused sustainable investment company Inqo Investments (INQO) increased interim revenues from R608,000 to R3.39m. The loss was slightly reduced at R5.18m after a sharp increase in employee costs.

Nine months revenues from Yooma Wellness Inc (YOOM) improved from $4.91m to $8.91m and the reported loss was reduced.

Marula Mining (MARU) secured a 73% commercial interest in the Bagamoyo graphite project in Tanzania, which includes 22 graphite mining licences.

In the six months to August 2022, Asia Wealth Group Holdings Ltd (AWLP) reported a decline in revenues from $940,000 to $844,000 and it moved from profit to loss. There was $1.19m in the bank at the end of August 2022.

Ace Liberty and Stone (ALSP) says that it received £3.07m from its open offer at 25p a share, compared with the £4.56m it was seeking.

Evrima (EVA) chief executive Burns Singh Tennent-Bhohi has made a £250,000 secured convertible loan facility available to the company. So far, £100,000 has been drawn down. This matures at the end of November 2023 and the coupon is 10%.

Goodbody Health (GDBY) chief executive Marc Howells has resigned, and George Thomas has replaced him.

AIM

Online retailer boohoo (BOO) has increased its stake in Revolution Beauty (REVB) from 13% to 26%. Bob Holt has taken over as chief executive. The shares remain suspended and there are still concerns about the 2021-22 figures.

Digital media company Digitalbox (DBOX) has acquired The Poke (www.thepoke.co.uk) for an undisclosed sum. It picks humorous content from the internet, unlike the Daily Mash which writes its own content. The Poke generated revenues of £170,000 in the year to November 2021.

Duke Royalty (DUKE) reported a 67% increase in recurring interim cash revenues from its royalty investments and free cash flow was 1.71p a share. There was a further improvement in cash revenues in the third quarter.

First Property (FPO) reported a fall in reported profit due to one-offs, but the interim dividend was maintained at 0.25p a share. NAV is 48.3p a share, not including any valuation for the investment management business, which is more than twice the share price.

A trading update from Light Source Technologies (LST) says that farmers are reluctant to commit to capital investment and that has slowed progress leading to a higher loss in the year to November 2023. The growers are finding it difficult to pass on cost increases to customers, so they are not making the commitment to install the controlled environment technology. Also, contract manufacturing margins have declined.

Venture Life Group (LON: VLG) is buying HL Healthcare, which owns Earol, EarolSwim and Sterinase, for £13m. The products generated EBITDA of £1.7m in 2021-22 and they should do better this year – £3m of the consideration is dependent on 2022-23 revenues. Venture Life is expected to make a 2022 pre-tax profit of £946,000 and that could improve to more than £4m in 2023.

Telecoms customer engagement software provider Pelatro (LON: PTRO) says the currency movements between the US dollar and Indian Rupee will lead to a shortfall in reported revenues this year. Along with other factors, this will reduce revenues by up to $800,000, although the currency movements will have a positive effect on costs that partly offsets the shortfall. EBITDA will be slightly below expectations. Some new clients are moving to a licence model, which means revenue will be recognised earlier.

Luxury brand Mulberry Group (MUL) reported flat interim revenues with higher international sales offsetting a decline in the UK. Mulberry moved from profit to loss as marketing and other spending was increased. There was an £11.2m cash outflow from operations.

Compliance and maintenance services provider Kinovo (KINO) continues to improve its profit in the six months to September 2022 and it has a strong order book. Revenues improved by one-quarter to £29.8m in the first half. Margins continue to rise with underlying pre-tax profit recovering from £1.61m to £2.1m. Three-year visible revenues total £146m, which includes contracts and predictable spend. That underpins around 90% of the 2022-23 forecast revenues of £62.1m. Net debt has fallen to below £100,000. However, in the short-term debt will increase again because of the requirements to finish contracts that are part of DCB, which was sold and then went into administration. Part of the deal was that Kinovo would guarantee the completion of projects. This could cost a total of £4.3m.

Inspiration Healthcare (IHC) says that it expects 2022-23 revenues to be similar to the previous year because of market uncertainty, particularly in China. Cenkos has reduced its forecast revenues from £45m to £41.1m. Because the reduction relates to higher margin products it means that pre-tax profit will dive from £3.96m last year to £540,000 this year.

Floorcoverings distributor Likewise (LIKE) says third quarter like-for-like sales were 21.8% higher and in October and November this accelerated to 27.7%. Total sales have more than doubled this year.

Fox Marble (FOX) has won damages and costs in its arbitration proceedings with a customer in India. Damages were Euro383,177 and costs were £454,584. The customer has 28 days to challenge the award.

MAIN MARKET

Antimicrobial and textile odour control materials developer HeiQ (HEIQ) has acquired the land and property of Chem-Tex Laboratories Inc in the US for $2.5m in cash and shares at 74.4p each. Securing the site will enable further expansion. The focus of manufacturing investment will be the US because of the availability of chemicals and the reduced exposure to rising energy prices.

Edward Spencer is requisitioning a general meeting at MetalNRG (MNRG). He owns 7.3% of the company and wants to remove the chairman and chief executive. He wants four people to be voted onto the board, including himself.

Highway Capital (HWC) has still not completed the acquisition of Guinevere Esports and Entertainment, which was announced in October 2021. Highway made an interim loss of £243,000.

Field Systems Designs Holdings (FSD) reported a sharply increased loss in the six months to November 2021. There were unpaid debts of £300,000 due to the financial failure of NMCN. The overall loss increased from £267,000 to £1.52m on revenues that fell from £5.75m to £2.64m. The pandemic hit trading and the AMP7 spending by water companies has yet to ramp up. This is required to be done by 2025. The order book is worth £7m.

A general meeting has been requisitioned at CBD products supplier Love Hemp (LIFE) by a shareholder owning more than 5% of the company and it will be held on 1 April. The requisitioner wants Andrew Male to be removed as chairman and the directors’ salaries slashed by 75%. They also want a strategic review of the company and a review of the financials, pus a halt to marketing spending.

Quantum Exponential (QBIT) has made its first investment. It has invested £300,000 out of a £470,000 fundraising by Siloton, a company that uses quantum techniques and photonic integrated circuits in sub-surface optical scanning devices used in healthcare and testing. The initial use is to monitor age-related macular degeneration. Quantum Exponential holds a 12.8% stake.

Gunsynd (GUN) is changing its investing policy. The sports sector has been added to the resources, life sciences and alcoholic beverages sectors. The rest of the policy is unchanged. The shareholders will vote on this change at the AGM.

Apollon Formularies (APOL) has signed a joint venture agreement with South Africa-based medical cannabis company Tri-Media Canna. Apollon will own 49% and receive a gross royalty on sales of its products in South Africa. There will also be opportunities for clinical trials for cancer treatments in South Africa. Tri-Media Canna is investing £150,000 in Apollon at 2.5p a share and will invest a further £150,000 in the future when the agreement is finalised.

Newbury Racecourse (NYR) has received the final payment of £10.7m for the land sold to David Wilson Homes. The cash will be used to pay down borrowings.

In the year to August 2021, Wheelsure Holdings (WHLP) reported a reduction in revenues from £233,000 to £144,000. The loss increased from £203,000 to £224,000.

KR1 (KR1) has invested $7m in Zee Prime II as part of a $35m fundraising.

Tectonic Gold (TTAU) has received a A$289,000 cash rebate from the Australian tax authorities. There will be a further claim for work in the second half of 2021.

Vulcan Industries (VULC) has raised £256,500 from a placing.

Trading in Early Equity (EEQP) shares has been suspended.

AIM

Battery metals producer Neometals already had an ASX listing prior to joining AIM, which management hopes will raise the company’s profile in UK and Europe. This was an introduction, so no new money was raised, although the expenses were £1.53m. The introduction price was 70p and it has risen to 85.5p. Perth-based Neometals has 13 subsidiaries, two joint ventures and one associate business. There is a lithium-ion battery recycling joint venture with SMS Group called Primobius. This will use the company’s own lithium-ion battery recycling technology. There are also two potential opportunities in Finland and Sweden for vanadium recovery projects. Neometals has a 70% stake in Reed Advanced Materials, which has developed the ELi lithium process. This reduces the requirement for reagents and is at semi-pilot testing stage.

The core software products sold by GetBusy (GETB) continue to grow sales and have excellent retention rates. Newer products, such as Certified Vault and Workiro are still at the early stages of building their customer bases, but they provide cross-selling opportunities to existing clients. GetBusy continues to lose money even though revenues grew from £14.2m to £15.4m. Annual recurring revenues are £15.8m. Net cash was £2.67m at the end of 2021.

Cloud-based secure payment technology provider PCI-Pal (PCIP) continues to win business even though the patent infringement dispute with Semafone continues. Total annual contract value is £11.4m. The company remains loss making, although the loss is falling, but the cash raised last year means that this is not a concern. Offices have been opened in Canada ad Australia.

Following FCA approval, Fletcher King (FLK) has completed the placing £547,000 at 52.5p a share. Elliott Bernard has a 29.99% stake and David Gibbs and Matthew Wise have been appointed to the board on his behalf.

MAIN MARKET

BATM (BVC) grew strongly last year, and both the biomedical and network and cyber divisions have much further to go. The biomedical division benefited from continued demand for Covid-19 testing, but other diagnostic tests also increased sales. There are new products that will enhance that growth. BATM is starting to win contracts for its Edgility edge computing and network function visualisation product. Group revenues were $140m in 2021 and they could rise to $157.9m this year. Pre-tax profit was boosted by one-off gains in 2021. A 2022 pre-tax profit of $12.7m is forecast with a jump to $20.1m anticipated in 2023 when the significant investment made by BATM really starts to pay off.

Hamak Gold (HAMA) is a Liberia-focused gold explorer with two gold prospects. Liberia is apparently an underexplored and underdeveloped area in sub-Saharan Africa. There are already two significant gold projects in Liberia that are near to the company’s prospects. Hamak raised £955,000 at 10p a share. The £706,000 raised after expenses will finance the initial exploration.

More Acquisitions (TMOR) is a new cash shell that intends to make acquisitions in the energy transition sector. The placing raised £1.25m at 1p each. More Acquisitions has issued all shares at the same price and there was a cap on expenses. This means that the underlying NAV is 0.96p a share. The share price ended the first day at 1.15p (1p/1.3p). The cash could be supplemented by up to £3.8m if all the warrants in issue are exercised.

URA Holdings (URAH) has returned to the London market after more than three years but this time it is the standard list and not AIM. The cash shell has secured the acquisition of Malaika Developments, which has exploration interests in Zambia. URA issued 60 million shares to acquire the company and raised £1.05m at 2p a share. The share price opened at 2.5p and closed at the end of the week at 2.25p.

Alkemy Capital Investments (ALK) has been readmitted to the standard list after it set up a new subsidiary to potentially supply lithium hydroxide monohydrate to battery manufacturers. The new plant could be set up at Teesside in the freeport. The board is assessing the prospects for the project and a feasibility study should be delivered at the end of March. The shares were readmitted at 100p, but the bid/offer spread is 75p/125p.

In the year to September 2021, telecoms services provider Toople (TOOP) reported a reduction in revenues from £3.44m to £3.01m, although gross profit increased. That was still not enough to cover overheads. There was a £835,000 cash outflow from operating opportunities. There was £282,000 in cash, offset by debt of £1.69m. However, £380,000 was raised at 0.045p a share after the year end.

Pineapple Power Corporation (PNPL) is not going ahead with the proposed acquisition of cleantech investment company BVP Investments because they could not agree on the valuation.

Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies (OCTP) says it has the support of 46.5% of shareholders but the requisitioner of the general meeting wants it to go ahead. The meeting is likely to be held on 6 April.

Hydrogen Future Industries (HFI) was set up to make investments in the hydrogen sector. It raised £2.23m at 10p a share. This will finance the investigation of investment opportunities.

Field Systems Design Holdings (FSD) reported a lump in revenues from £19.8m to £9.98m in the year to May 2021, due to Covid-related problems. This meant that the mechanical and electrical design company moved into loss. The AMP7 water sector investment programme did not start as expected. Other projects have also been delayed, but power generation and transport infrastructure business held up better than the water business, which continues to be delayed. Field Systems Design is also being more selective about energy from waste projects. There was £6m in cash at the end of May 2021.

EPE Special Opportunities (ESO) is investing €10m in the €150m offer by new SPAC EPIC Acquisition Corp, which will be listed on Euronext Amsterdam. The target company would be involved in the consumer sector. EPE has published a prospectus for the issue of up to 20 million zero dividend preference shares at 100p each.

Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) has concluded a partial disposal of its investment in TPS Investment, which distributes pipes and valves. There was an initial £200,000 and £121,000 will be received from a share buyback about the company. That leaves a stake in TPS valued at £510,000.

Aquis Stock Exchange-quoted non-fungible tokens (NFTs) investor NFT Investments (NFT) has swapped its £500,000 investment in Kodoku Studios for a 3% stake in Pioneer Media (PNER) valued at £2m and £125,000 in cash. Mike Edwards is a director of NFT and Pioneer. NFT has invested $1m in NFT Studios Ltd in return for a 20% stake.

Watchstone Group (WTG) has filed a claim against KPMG totalling £13.73m plus interest. This relates to the audit of the 2013 accounts of the company, then known as Quindell. These accounts were restated and the FRC fined and reprimanded KPMG.

Quetzal Capital (QTZ) has invested £1.5m in a convertible loan to TAP Global Ltd and it has an option to acquire 100%. TAP Global is a regulated (by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission) Crypto-Fiat exchange services provider, which plans to provide a bridge between traditional and crypto assets. TAP Global is already generating revenues.

Altona Rare Earths (ANR) has completed the 2021 drilling programme at the Mozambique Monte Muambe project. Chief executive Christian Taylor-Wilkinson bought 66,560 shares at 11.3p each and he owns 6.3% of the company.

South Africa-based social impact company Inqo Investments Ltd (INQO) raised cash from selling land and this has strengthened the balance sheet. Inqo continues to lose money.

Belvedere Leisure (BL03) has taken control of the 160 acre Barnsoul caravan park, which was near to full capacity during the peak season. Development of the park is continuing ahead of a reopening next spring.

Evrima (EVA) has elected to maintain its project level interest of between 8.86% and 9.26% in the Molopo Farms complex. Kavango Resources (KAV) is exercising its option to take a stake of more than 50%.

Dispersion Holdings (DEFI) has launched a new platform called AQRU, which is a platform that enables institutional investors simple access to crypto yields available in DeFi. Recently purchased Accru Finance developed AQRU, which will not be open to UK-based investors until it is approved by the FCA.

Fuel additives supplier SulNOx Group (SNOX) has signed a distribution agreement with LocoSoco Group.

MiLOC Group Ltd (ML.P) has raised £23,000 at 28.5p a share.

Slater Investments has increased its stake in Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) from 3.05% to 5.15%.

Rogue Baron (SHNJ) managing director Ryan Dolder bought 32,477 shares at 12p each and 58.827 shares at 9.5p each, taking his stake to 10.5%.

Sativa Wellness (SWEL) has appointed Arden as corporate adviser. It hopes that the broker can help to improve the share price.

AIM

Battery technology developer Gelion (GELN) raised £16m at 145p a share when it joined AIM. The share price has soared to 265p. Australia-based Gelion is a zinc-bromide battery storage technology developer. It is also developing battery additives for use in lithium-ion and lithium-sulfur batteries. Gelion Endure zinc-bromide batteries are suited for harsh environments and the non-flow zinc-bromide technology means that they can be smaller than rival lithium-ion and lead-acid technologies and are recyclable. The cash will be used to accelerate development spending.

Skillcast Group (SKL) provides content and software to companies for their training and compliance requirements. Skillcast has joined AIM to raise further cash to invest in cloud technology and training content. It raised £3.5m in a placing at 37p a share and the share price ended the week at 43p. Revenues are generated from professional services and SaaS subscriptions and the main growth comes from the latter. There were annual recurring revenues of £5.06m at the end of June 2021. Clients include Schroders and GKN. The shares are tightly held.

A trading statement from franchised lettings and estate agency Belvoir Group (BLV) led to a 3% upgrade in forecast 2021 earnings to 20.3p a share.

IPTV technology developer Mirada (MIRA) grew interim revenues by 10% to $6m thanks to increasing installations for izzi Telecom. Mirada has buit up a 5% global share of the Android TV market. The increasing use of resellers in different regions of the world should help Mirada to grow more quickly than it could relying on direct sales. There was a recent partnership agreement with North America-focused Shift 2 Stream.

Vector Capital (VCAP) says 2021 revenues and pre-tax profit will be better than expected.

Interim revenues of Coral Products (CRU) were 58% ahead at £7.1m and pre-tax profit improved from £494,000 to £698,000. The interim dividend is 0.5p a share. Plastic lotion pumps supplier Global One-Pak was hit by the ill-health of its boss and problems importing from China, but trading is improving.

Human capital services provider Mind Gym (MIND) increased its interim revenues by two-thirds to £24.1m and it returned to profit. Revenues are back to the levels in the first half of 2019, although the profit is much lower. Digital revenues account for 81% of the latest revenues.

Online fashion retailer Sosandar (SOS) nearly trebled its interim revenues, helped by maintaining high stock levels following the fundraising earlier this year. Strong trading, both from the company’s website and through third parties, continues to be strong. October was a record month and November was even better. The full year revenues forecast has been raised by 11% to £27.1m. Sosandar could move into profit next year.

Cenkos has upgraded its free cash flow forecast for Duke Royalty (DUKE) following the latest interims. It is expected to be 2.3p a share, which will cover the forecast dividend of 2.2p a share. There is a record deal pipeline

Lekoil Nigeria is offering to acquire the 60% of Lekoil Ltd (LEK) that it does not own for double the suspension price of 0.95p or for a share exchange.

MAIN MARKET

Guernsey-registered technology shell Hambro Perks Acquisition Company Ltd (HPA1) raised £140m through a placing at 1000p per unit (one public share and 0.5 of one public warrant). The price went to premium and fell back to 1000p. An attractive market, innovative product or service, scalability and strong management will be required in any target. The target business would be valued at £800m or more. The Hambro Perks Ltd advisory business has expertise in investing in early-stage technology businesses and could have potential targets in its funds.

Town Centre Properties (TOWN) maintained its underlying NAV at 284p a share. Net debt was reduced to £145.6m and LTV is 51.3% at the end of June 2021. The full loss was significantly reduced, although there was cash generated from operations. The final dividend is 1.75p a share, taking the total for the year to 3.5p a share, down from 5p a share.

Telecoms services provider Toople (TOOP) is raising £380,000 at 0.045p a share. The previous placing was at 0.11p a share during October 2020.

Rebel shareholders in beverages supplier East Imperial (EISB) have withdrawn their general meeting requisition following the appointment of Alistair McGeorge as chairman and Colin Henry as a non-exec. Rabindra Lal Soni has resigned as chairman.

Installation services provider and engineer Field Systems Designs Holdings (FSD) reported a dip in interim revenues due to Covid-19 and lack of work in the water sector. In the six months to November 2020, revenues halved from £11.5m to £5.7m and the loss increased to £209,000. Net assets improved from £3.87m to £3.93m with cash increasing from £4.34m to £5.6m. There are signs of water projects being announced.

Gunsynd (GUN) says its investee company Rogue Baron should join the Access segment on around 12 March. Gunsynd will own 28.48% of the drinks company and retain £111,000 of convertible loan notes.

Forbes Ventures (FOR) says that a £40m tranche of two-year notes is expected to take place in Malta in the middle of March. A further £60m should be listed within two months of the first tranche. A subsidiary of Forbes will receive a one-off fee of 2% of the funds raised.

Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) had net assets of 57.96p a share at the end of February 2021. There was cash of £2.68m. It has subsequently sold the investment in Anthesis Consulting for £1.15m. This was previously valued at £705,000.

Upper Thames Holdings (UPPT) is changing its name to Valereum Blockchain. The company has initiated the launch of the first series of securitised derivative tokens on a regulated cryptocurrency exchange, which should happen within two months. This will enable trading in currency and other products.

KR1 (KR1) has raised nearly $256,000 by selling tokens in Stake DAO. KR1 still has the rights to more than 700,000 SDT tokens and these will vest over 23 months. KR1 has spent $75,000 of the cash on a stake in LazyLedger Labs.

Exploration by Wishbone Gold (WSBN) has identified high grade silver and base metals potential at the Cottesloe project in Patersons Range Western Australia.

Coinsilium Group Ltd (COIN) is linking with 10%-owned Indorse to launch a Non-Fungible Token development studio in Gibraltar.

Quetzal Capital (WENP) has appointed Peterhouse as corporate adviser and raised £432,000 at 0.7p a share. Chris Akers will own a 9.4% stake.

Block Commodities (BLCC) has appointed First Sentinel as corporate adviser and trading in the share has recommenced. Altona Rare Earths (ANR) has appointed Optiva Securities as broker, and it hopes to move to the standard list in the second quarter.

World High Life has changed its name to Love Hemp Group (LIFE). It has appointed Hannam and Partners as financial advisor. Chris Cleverly and Elias Pungong have left the board.

AIM

Coral Products (CRU) has completed the sale of two plastic mouldings businesses and acquired Customised Packaging for £1.25m in cash and shares issued at 11p each. If 2021 profit is greater than £250,000 the vendors will receive 30% of the excess profit (capped at £250,000). Customised Packaging generated revenues of £2.3m in 2020. The Manchester-based business designs plastic products using sheet extrusion technology and vacuum forming capability. WH Ireland has been appointed as nominated adviser and broker.

Interims from parcel and freight delivery company DX (LSE:DX.) showed a 7% rise in revenues to £182.7m with strong growth in freight offsetting a fall in the express division. That enabled DX to move from loss to a pre-tax profit of £3.8m. New depots are being opened because of the demand for the company’s services, while the document exchange business is being revamped. Non-executive director Paul Goodson has acquired 176,810 shares at an average price of 28.25p.

In 2020, Franchise Brands (FRAN) improved pre-tax profit from £4.07m to £4.84m, helped by a full contribution from Willow Pumps. The dividend was increased from 0.95p a share to 1.1p a share. Income returned to growth in the fourth quarter and there has been a good start to 2021. That sparked a forecast upgrade for pre-tax profit to £6.1m.

The bid for AFH Financial (AFHP) has been increased from 463p a share to 480p a share.

BlueRock Diamonds (BRD) has raised £1.5m at 40p a share. This cash will be used to complete the weather delayed installation of the new processing plant at the Kareevlei diamond mine so that annual production can be raised to one million tonnes. There have been 29 production days lost to rain. The first two diamond tenders of 2021 have achieved an average diamond price of $423/carat, which is higher than the average price assumed for the full year.

Maestrano (MNO) has taken advantage of its strong share price to raise £2m at 13p a share. This will help to grow revenues of the Corridor.ai digital surveying platform for the rail sector. There is still manual rail survey business that can be done digitally.

In 2020, the revenues of MTI Wireless Edge (MWE) rose by 2% to $40.9m, while pre-tax profit jumped from $3.41m to $4.06m. The net cash position was better than expected at $9.44m. The dividend has been increased by one-quarter to 2.5 cents a share. The antennas business is winning larger 5G orders and the electronic components division is converting design wins into production orders.

Virgin Wines (VINO) ended the week at 225.5p a share, having floated at 197p a share.

Prospex Energy (PXEN) has completed the purchase of a 49.9% stake in the El Romeral gas and power operation in Spain. There is potential to increase production from the three producing gas wells and this could also help increase the amount of electricity generated from the 8.1MW power station, which is running well below capacity. An offshore gas well should start production later this year.

Safestay (SSTY) has sold the smallest of its three hostels in Barcelona for the book value of €900,000. Safestay is due to the final consideration of €1.18m for one of the other Barcelona hostels.

MAIN MARKET

Caerus Mineral is acquiring New Cyprus Copper and joining the standard list. A placing has raised £2.25m at 10p. There is a portfolio of exploration licences in Cyprus. There is potential for near-term mining of resources on closed copper mines and extensions of existing orebodies.

Argo Blockchain (ARB) says from this month chief executive Peter Wall will be paid in Bitcoin and other employees will be given the chance to follow suit. Argo held 599 Bitcoin at the end of February, having mined 129 (equivalent to £4.34m) during the month.

Emmerson (EML) plans to switch from the standard list to AIM ahead of the commencement of construction of its mine at the Khemisset potash project.

HeiQ (HEIQ) is acquiring 51% of Chrisal NV, a profitable industrial biotechnology company that has developed a symbiotic interior cleaner called Synbio with enhanced cleaning performance.

Castillo Copper (CCZ) expects the modelling of a JORC resource for the Big One deposit should be completed shortly. Drilling will resume when the wet season ends.

Boston International Holdings (BIH) is not going ahead with the reverse takeover of invoice factor Alexanders Discount. The shares remain suspended.

Starcrest Education The Belt and Road (OBOR) says that the purchase of 60% of The London School of Science and Technology is unlikely to happen before June.

Incanthera (INC) says that study results for Sol, a sun cream that prevents skin cancer, have been better than expected. There is significantly greater dermal delivery by Sol compared with four rival products and it was found to be a non-irritant. The cream exceeds bioequivalence compared with oral treatments. A new patent is being filed which will extend the protection until 2041. Incanthera had £433,000 in the bank at the end of September 2020 and outgoings are low. The cash will last well into 2021 Incanthera is seeking a partner to license Sol and launch the product, which could lead to an upfront payment. Incanthera has already licensed potential cancer treatment EP0015 to Ellipses Pharma. There are other earlier stage treatments being developed, including Duo-C, which is a potential treatment for bladder cancer.

Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) is acquiring vehicle finance provider Asset Alliance, which specialises in coaches and trucks, for £4.1m. Arbuthnot can use its own deposit base to provide finance for the acquisition, which should be earnings enhancing in 2021.

In the year to May 2020, mechanical and engineering services provider Fuel Systems Designs Holdings (FSD) reported a decline in pre-tax profit from £553,000 to £354,000 and a fall in revenues from £21.8m to £19.8m. The decline in revenues came from the power generation division, while water and sewerage revenues were slightly higher. Cash in the bank has improved from £4.8m to £5.96m.

SulNOX (SNOX) has signed a collaboration agreement with Ghana-based Rigworld, which will market the company’s fuel conditioner and heavy fuel emulsifier products in Africa. Rigworld has identified the mining sector as an initial opportunity.

Chris Akers has taken a 4.08% stake in Gunsynd (GUN). Investee company Rincon Resources has had its ASX listing delayed. Pacific Nickel, formerly Malachite, has raised $3.8m for the exploration of nickel projects in the Solomon Islands.

World High Life (LIFE) generated revenues of £1.69m in the year to June 2020. Impairment goodwill of £7.4m increased the full year loss to £12.7m. Management continues to seek further CBD investment opportunities.

Rutherford Health (RUTH) has launched new membership scheme Rutherford Direct. The healthcare plan focuses on cancer cover and provides the cost of treatment and care for people diagnosed with cancer.

Wishbone Gold (WSBN) has raised £1.75m at 10p a share in order to finance exploration at the Red Setter project in Western Australia. There will also be additional exploration in Queensland.

Coinsilium Group Ltd (COIN) has signed an agreement with Vietnam-based RedFOX Labs, which will lead to the development of a range of virtual asset and digital collectible marketplaces. It will also cover the trading of non-fungible tokens.

Cairn has been replaced Turner Pope as broker to Primorus Investments (PRIM) as well as nominated adviser. Primorus is leaving Aquis Stock Exchange on 24 December as part of cost saving measures.

AIM

IMImobile (IMO) has agreed a 595p a share bid from Cisco Systems, which values the communications services company at £543m. This is a good add-on service for Cisco.

ULS Technology (ULS) has sold its CAL subsidiary for £27m, so that it can concentrate on its core eConceyancer platform and its digital investment. In the six months to September 2020, the group market share of purchases and sales was slightly lower but remortgage market share rose from 4.8% to 6.8%. The sale of CAL will reduce the numbers, but the mix of business should not change. ULS managed to make a small interim profit on reduced revenues.

Eqtec (EQT) has signed an agreement to acquire full ownership of the Deeside refuse derived fuel project. Eqtec is talking to the local authority and is pursuing additional planning permissions for the site so the company’s gasification technology can be used. Financing is being secured.

Access Intelligence (ACC) has raised £10m in a heavily oversubscribed placing at 80p a share. This cash will fund international expansion for its SaaS products.

Bion (BION) has entered the solar power market and it has agreed to acquire existing solar assets. The company is purchasing a 77% stake in rooftop solar panels that supply 0.95MW of electricity. The total cost will be RM6m. The assets should generate a profit of RM400,000 a year from 2021.

Housebuilder Abbey (ABBY) has recommended a 1575p a share cash offer from Gallagher Holdings for the minority stake it does not own. The Irish housebuilder is valued at £328.8m and the remaining 4.4% shareholding will cost £14.4m.

Roadside convenience retailer Applegreen (APGN) has been approached by its founders and management team with a €5.75 a share cash offer. The independent directors are considering the offer.

Iron deficiency products developer Shield Therapeutics (STX) says that discussions with potential licensees for the US rights to Accrufer will not be completed by the end of the year as had been hoped. Shield would need up to $40m to launch the treatment in the US if it did it on its own. A loan facility will help Shield to have working capital well into next year.

MAIN MARKET

S and U (SUS) says trading in its car finance and property bridging loans businesses has rebounded since the end of July. A background of higher demand and strong used car price growth means that current net receivables are £253m even though there was poor demand earlier in 2020. Third quarter collection rates were 87.5% of due payments. Aspen Bridging has higher net receivables than one year ago.

Tirupati Graphite (TGR) is set to join the standard list on Monday. It is an integrated graphite mining and processing business. Mining has commenced in Madagascar and the Indian processing facility was opened last year. There are plans to move into the graphene market. Management has decades of experience in the graphite industry.

Textile materials and chemicals company HeiQ (HEIQ) has started trading on the standard list following the reversal into Auctus Growth. A placing and subscription raised £60m at 112p a share. The share price ended the week at 118.5p.

CML Microsystems (CML) is selling its storage division so that it can concentrate on its communications division. The disposal to Swissbit will raise $49m in cash and it should be completed early in 2021. Net cash was £7.35m at the end of September 2020.

BATM (BVC) has delivered the first Celitron instrument for the recovery of protein and oils from insects.

Cyprus-focused explorer Chesterfield Resources (CHF) has raised £2.5m from a share issue at 9p, with £2.1m of the cash coming from Polymetal International.

Incanthera (INC) raised £1.21m at 9.5p a share prior to joining NEX on 28 February. The price at the end of the first day of dealings was 10.5p (9.5p/11.5p). There were no trades. Incanthera is developing Sol, a topical product for the treatment of solar keratosis and prevention of skin cancer, which could be licenced to a partner within 18 months.

Mechanical and electrical installation services provider Field System Designs Holdings (FSD) continued to be hit by problems with its energy from waste customer in the first half. Revenues dipped from £11.8m to £11.5m, but it went from profit to loss due to litigation costs. The water sector is the main focus of the company. The new AMP7 water investment period starts in April. There was cash of £4.38m at the end of November 2019. The NAV was £3.28m compared with a market capitalisation of £2.4m.

Employee-owned business finance provider Capital for Colleagues (CFCP) broadly maintained its NAV at 43.44p a share at the end of August 2019. A £800,000 investment valuation gain plus a £126,000 write back of provisions was offset by loan impairments of £908,000. Management believes that several investee companies will have encouraging developments this year.

Ashley House (ASH) has decided to withdraw from NEX on 26 March and maintain its AIM quotation. Cash remains in short supply due to the failure to receive more than £1m owed by two debtors. More cash needs to be raised. Non-core assets could be sold. There are good prospects for the business. Three memoranda of understanding / framework agreements have been signed with institutions. There is a pipeline of nine potential affordable housing schemes, four of which have planning permission.

AfriAg Global (AFRI) says it intends to bid for the rest of Apollon UK, which has the right to 95% of net profit of Apollon Formularies Jamaica and the right to acquire a 49% stake in that business. AfriAg owns 2.68% of Apollon UK and is trying to satisfy regulatory requirements for the offer to go ahead.

PCG Entertainment (PCGE) had less than $24,000 left in the bank at the end of September 2019. A proposed deal fell through last year and management is considering a new strategy which could be announced in a few weeks. Trading in the shares remains suspended.

Eastinco Mining and Exploration (EM.P) has signed a joint venture agreement with Dynasty Construction, which owns 600 hectares of land in Rwanda, to explore for tin, tungsten and tantalum. Eastinco says the operation of the wash plant at the Kuaka mine has been delayed. It should be in operation by the end of April.

Dozen Savings 5% secured bonds 1 March 2020 have been withdrawn from NEX.

AIM

Netcall (NET) increased its total annual contract value by 10% to £16.6m at the end of 2019. The customer engagement software provider has been increasing the sales of its low-code products, which represent one-third of group revenues just a couple of years after the products were launched. The Liberty Connect conversational messaging platform has generated the first orders.

Fashion retailer Quiz (QUIZ) has been performing poorly almost since it joined AIM and many investors have lost patience. Fidelity sold its 5% stake, but one investor that believes it is a good time to buy the shares is Cavendish Asset Management, which has more than doubled its stake from 5.24% to 11.8%.

Redx Pharma (REDX) has terminated merger discussions with Yesod Bio-Sciences because the offer was not high enough. Redmile Group will provide up to £26.3m of funding to Redx. Redmile will subscribe for 11.5 million shares at 11.2p each, which is higher than the market price in the past six months. There will also be a £5m short-term loan and a £20m convertible loan. The share subscription will provide enough cash until April while the terms of the loans are agreed.

Cora Gold (CORA) has announced further drill results for the Sanankoro gold project in the Yanfolila gold belt in southern Mali. The results confirm significant additional mineralisation with some grades above 2g/t. There are more results to come.

finnCap is not changing its forecast for Surface Transforms (SCE) following its seven month figures. The carbon fibre brake discs developer is changing its year end from May to December. In the 17 months to December 2020, revenues of £3.3m and a loss of £1.7m are forecast.

Empire Metals (EEE) has raised £600,000 at 1p a share in order to invest in its assets in Georgia and identify other assets.

United Oil and Gas (UOG) has completed the acquisition of Egyptian oil and gas assets from Rockhopper Exploration (RKH) and it was readmitted to AIM on 28 February.

Eden Research (EDEN) is raising up to £10.6m at 6p a share via a placing and open offer. The biopesticides developer will spend the cash on gaining regulatory approval and registration for its products, as well as on further development.

AssetCo (ASTO) had cash of £17.1m at the end of September 2019 and since then a further £11m has been received. There are also bonds of £3.5m. Grant Thornton is appealing the judgement for negligence and the decision of the Court of Appeal should be made in the summer.

Billing Services Group (BILL) has completed the sale of its business and will distribute cash to shareholders by the end of March.

Mereo BioPharma (MPH) says it received positive feedback from the FDA following an end of phase 2 meeting for Setrusumab, a treatment for osteogenesis imperfecta in the young. A phase 3 study programme has been agreed.

STM Group (STM) has confirmed previous expectations for its 2019 figures which will be reported on 24 March. An underlying pre-tax profit of £2.5m is forecast.

Firestone Diamonds (FDI) wants shareholder permission to leave AIM. The general meeting is on 13 March. A weak diamond market and lower recovery levels than expected have made it difficult to finance the debt burden. Leaving AIM will reduce costs and there has been little liquidity anyway.

MAIN MARKET

Packaging supplier Macfarlane (MACF) increased its pre-tax profit by 10% to £12m. The full year dividend was raised by 7% to 2.45p a share. Both distribution and manufacturing made higher profit contributions. This year’s profitability is ahead of 2019, so far.

Personal care products supplier InnovaDerma (IDP) has a lot to do to make its full year forecast. Interim revenues increased from £3.9m to £5.4m and there was a slightly lower loss. There is £ in the bank but that could recover to more than £2m by the end of June 2020.

Chief executive George Bennett has leant $1m to Rainbow Rare Earths (RBW) to fund exploration and operations. He already has a 8.6% stake and there are warrants over 2 million shares exercisable at 4.55p each that have been issued in return for the loan, which does not have an interest charge.

Commercial aircraft leasing company Avation (AVAP) trebled its interim profit to $45.2m, including an unrealised gain of $37m on aircraft purchase rights, and the net asset value was 15% higher at $4.29 a share. This is equivalent to 325p a share. The dividend was raised by 5% to 2.1 US cents a share.

Trading in the shares of Mila Resources (MILA) has been suspended following an agreement to progress with the purchase of E-Tech Metals in a share deal. The transaction is subject to due diligence. The attraction is high grade neodymium and praseodymium mineralisation, which are important rare earths, in the Eureka rare earth project in Namibia.

BATM Advanced Communications (BVC) has won a $4m cyber contract from an existing government customer. This customer has and will generate contracted revenues of more than $18m.

Investment company London Finance and Investment (LFI) increased net assets by 7% to 63p a share at the end of 2019, although it fell to 62.6p a share by the end of January. An increase in the value of the stake in AIM quoted cake maker Finsbury Food (FIF) more than offset declines elsewhere in the six months to December 2019.

Chapel Down Group (CDGP) has managed to generate 92% of 2018’s record harvest in volume terms for the company’s wines. This was achieved even though the weather was not as good this summer. Some vineyards produced their first crop and are still maturing.

Belvedere Leisure Resorts plans to gain a quotation on the NEX Growth Market for its bonds on 22 November. The company is a subsidiary of Belvedere Leisure Park, which owns a site in Dumfries & Galloway with planning permission for a lodge park resort of 444 holiday lodges. The park will be built by Landal GreenParks. The bonds will offer a coupon 6.25%. An initial £10m of bonds will be admitted with a maximum of £25m expected to be raised.

First Sentinel (FSEN) is seeking shareholder approval to issue Green Finance preference shares, which would be quoted on NEX. The cash raised will be invested in the renewable energy sector. A general meeting will be held on 18 November. Warrants have been exercised at 10p a share and this has raised £400,000 for First Sentinel.

Higher gross margins meant that the decline in the pre-tax profit was limited and it fell from £625,000 to £553,000. Water generated four-fifths of revenues, up from 48% the previous year. There are no solid spending forecasts, as yet, for the latest water capital investment period for between 2020 and 2025. This causes some medium-term uncertainty. The order book is worth £8.2m, compared with £12m one year earlier. There is a pension surplus.

KR1 (KR1) has made three more investments in blockchain-related tokens. A $100,000 cash investment and payment for advisory expertise will earn 1.017% of Vega tokens issued. Vega is developing a decentralised and censorship-resistant blockchain trading platform. A further $266,220 has been invested in Edgeware smart-contract platform tokens and they will be locked up for 12 months. KR1 will receive 1,000 Ether and this will translate into 3.8 million Edgeware tokens. KR1 has spent $50,000 on a minimum stake of 0.625% in Commonwealth Labs, which is helping to market the Edgeware platform.

Allenby Capital has published a research note on cannabis products supplier Sativa Investments (SATI) and it forecasts revenues of £1.64m in 2019 and £5.15m next year. This will not be enough to make Sativa profitable. Allenby believes that it may have to raise £6m next year to cover its cash outflows and maintain net cash. Sativa has changed the brand name from George Botanicals to Goodbody Botanicals.

Imperial X (IMPP) has raised £347,000 at 2.5p a share. This represents 27.3% of the enlarged share capital.

NQ Minerals (NQMI) increased lead concentrate production at the Hellyer mine from 5,452 tonnes in the second quarter to 6,656 tonnes in the third quarter, but zinc and pyrite concentrate production declined. However, recovery levels have improved for both lead and zinc.

BWA Group (BWAP) intends to sell its investments in Prepaid Card Services and a mining project in Cameroon. They are in the balance sheet at a value of £608,000. The focus will be gold explorer Kings of the North. St-Georges Eco-Mining is converting £300,000 of the £2.45m of convertible loan notes at 0.5p a share. This is equivalent to 23.75% of the enlarged share capital. The loan notes were issued to acquired Kings of the North Corp. BWA is still waiting for £88,000 of the £100,000 of convertibles issued for cash.

Black Sea Property (BSP) has published its 2018 accounts, but it will have to publish its interims before trading in the shares recommences. Management says that it is addressing the accounting concerns of its auditor BDO. The NAV was 0.95 cents a share at the end of 2018.

Asia Wealth Group Holdings (AWLP) reported a drop in revenues from $1.24m to $797,000. This meant that the company fell into loss. There is $726,000 in the bank at the end of August 2019.

Ganapati (GANP) improved its interim revenues from £2.19m to £2.33m, but higher admin expenses meant that the reported loss more than trebled to £8.5m. The company continues to develop its online gaming platform.

TechFinancials (TECH) has completed the sale of a loss-making asset for €100,000.

Queros Capital Partners (QCP) is asking shareholders to approve the ending of the NEX quotation. The general meeting will be held on 14 November.

AIM

Duke Royalty (DUKE) has made a follow-on investment in Lynx Equity, to help the company to finance the purchase of Denmark-based steel staircases supplier Sundby Trapper. This means that Duke has exposure of £12m in Lynx and it will receive annual distributions of £1.6m.

Space management software supplier Smartspace Software (SMRT) is paying £3.2m in cash and shares for Australia-based Space Connect, a provider of cloud-based workplace management software for room booking, desk management, catering and workspace analytics. This will save up to £1.2m a year on product development over two years. The software can be rolled-out in the UK. Smartspace made an interim loss of £4m.

An investor group intends to increase its stake in Petrel Resources (PET) from 29.99% to 51% via a share issue at 1.25p each. They will offer potential oil and gas-related investments to Petrel.

Cabot Energy (CAB) has decided to ditch its AIM quotation on 3 December, but it intends to have its shares matched on Asset Match. This will have to be approved by shareholders. The Canada-focused oil and gas company wants to reduce its overheads.

RedT Energy (RED) plans to merge with Avalon Battery Corporation and combine the best features of each company’s technology. Bushveld Minerals (BMN) is providing an interim loan facility prior to the raising of £23m of new funds.

Avingtrans (AVG) is already reaping the benefits of the acquisition of Booth Industries, thanks to a £7.2m safety doors contract from the government. That means that £12m of orders have been won since the purchase in June.

Safestay (SSTY) is buying a hostel in Athens for €1.5m. The hostel has been operating since 2008 and has an 18-year lease. Safestay has also completed the purchase of the Best Western Glasgow City hotel for £3.15m and this will be transformed into a 200-bed hostel.

Stevia producer PureCircle (PURE) has won a legal decision in its patent litigation with SweeGen, which challenged the patent. It will pursue Federal District court litigation against SweeGen. The patent is for the process of producing Reb M stevia sweetener via bioconversion. The shares remain suspended because it has not published the results for the year to June 2019.

Meditor is considering a 5p a share offer for carpets retailer Carpetright (CPR) and without this offer thee would need to be a refinancing of £80m of debt and additional working capital.

Motor dealer Lookers (LOOK) has warned that its 2019 figures will be even worse than previously thought and chief executive Andy Bruce and chief operating officer Nigel McMinn have left the board. The pre-tax forecast has been cut from £38.7m to £15.5m, compared with £53.9m in 2018. Third quarter new car unit sales fell by 3.2% (on a like-for-like basis), compared with the market decline of 0.6%.

InnovaDerma (IDP) is launching a new topical product in Superdrug before the end of June. The full details will be announced nearer the launch.

The chairman and chief executive of Rainbow Rare Earths (RBW) have acquired 5.46 million shares at 3p each and they have a combined shareholding of 27.5%. Further cost reductions have been identified for the Gakara project in Burundi. A further 100 tonnes of rare earth oxides concentrate were shipped in October. Production levels will fall in the short-term as the production focus moves to a mechanised operation.

Cryptominer Argo Blockchain (ARB) has doubled its mining equipment order and changed the machines it is buying. The cost has been reduced from $13.1m to $9.51m. The machines are more efficient. The current machine orders will increase capacity by 240%.

Resources cash shell Mila Resources (MILA) is still seeking a deal. There was £429,000 in cash at the end of June 2019. Another shell, Bermele (BERM), is also still seeking a deal. It had £682,000 in cash at the end of July 2019.

Blencowe Resources (BRES) is acquiring the Orom graphite project in Uganda for £2m in shares at 6p each. This is subject to a fundraising.

Iconic Labs (ICON) slipped out its results for the 18 months to June 2019 at 6.28pm on 31 October. They show a £6.12m loss, of which, £308,000 was from continuing operations. Net liabilities were £1.67m.
